We can still defeat ourselves, it's happened before. If we can lose to Morton at CP, we can lose to these on an artificial pitch in Iceland. We need to turn up.

Aye but lose by 3 goals? It's * doubtful.

    We're in a good position.

Massive difference in terms of that was the Scottish Cup/League Cup and this is for the Champions League. The players know what is at stake and Deila certainly knows what is at stake.

We only need to score a goal and the tie is completely over.

As long as we turn up, we will go through comfortably; but that is the key.

For many of their players, these 2 games may well be the biggest of their entire careers. If we have a shocker (and as I say, we've done it before), all it takes is for them to use the pitch to their advantage (like Elfsborg, they will be used to it), and hang on in there for the first hour, then a late goal on, say, 75 or 80 minutes makes things very nervy. A scrappy equaliser in injury time would then have me scouring their fixtures in search of ineligible players during the break.

If we don't turn up, I give the above no more than a 10% chance of happening; but I still don't like those odds given what is at stake.

We need to turn up, if we do, we win. Complacency is our danger here, not Stjarnan. Luckily I can't see Ronny or JC allowing any.

Agreed mate but we have room for some leeway, I'm specifically talkimg about not playing Lustig here, on a dodgy pitch and giving Janko or Fisher the chance.

If we didn't have that bit of leeway Lustig would be a must.

100% agree about Lustig and also Forrest (as pointed out by donnegal celt. They are such important players for us when fit. If we do make the Group Stages, we will need them, Broony and Johansen fit and on form to have any chance at all of not just making up the numbers.

It'll be fine. We're all obviously cautious but the reality is we will dominate them like last time.

We'll push them back from the very beginning and keep them there.

They will then try and surge forward whenever they get the ball because they absolutely need to score which is where we will pick the ball up and deliver it to the netty.

Job done. 3 or 4 nil to the Bhoys.

Very true mate, although I think Forrest is far more expendable than the rest.

Best value bet for this is Celtic and under 2.5 goals at 15/8, in my opinion.

3/1 for big Virgil anytime is good odds I think. Pitch will be tight and they will be fairly cautious, it will be tailor made for a Virgil run from deep and I think he'll have plenty of space to do it, or up from a corner..
Done 3 Celtic bets myself, think we'll tank them..

They need to try and score so they wont be able to stay compact. We will pick them off each time im going for 5-0

I agree with you about Lustig I would not play him in this game. We have Ambrose as well who can play there and has plenty of experince at this level. Hopefully we can get a goal in the first half and kill this tie off as soon as possible.
