Just about most years we go through a bad spell of 4/5 games. Better to have it at the start of the season or before Christmas than in the latter stages of the season. Look how many times the filth were super stars up to the winter break. Couple of good signings in January and the GB/board to sort their * out and hopefully we'll be ok. Wasn't that long ago we skelped Aberdeen 6-0

We can’t possibly sack a manager six months in the job and still top of the league, BUT with all his criticism of players has he lost the dressing room? Still give him help in January window and ask the stick or twist in the summer

Based on past history. No neither am I but grossly unfair to call for him to be sacked at this stage when he's not even permanently signed 1 player he actually wants

Wouldnt be overly concerned. Most of the ones he's criticised are pish and unlikely to still be here by February

If he has lost the dressing room, then there's little chance of a turnaround.

He comes across as resigned that he can't do anything with this team, maybe as he wants his own players in. We can't have a manager with that attitude.

Either get the players he wants, or get rid of him.

Miles? By all means, let's not get ridiculous.
He's not getting a tune out of any of the players that have been available all season. But add those 2 to the starting line up and all issues are fixed?

Sacking him now would be premature.

Give him the January window to help him put his own stamp on the team, and then see how it pans out.

We are in a precarious position, but I don’t get this thirst among fans for change during any spell of bad form. At the end of the day, any new manager will have to work with this current squad and under the same limitations imposed by the board, so they are going to find it difficult.

Rodger’s biggest mistake was underestimating the task at hand in the summer. I don’t think he pushed hard enough for signings he needed. He will in January though.

Keeping him around is a massive risk as well though. He will blow the money on * and have us in a worse position in the Summer. You can almost guarantee it.

I wonder who could replace him if we did twist?

Our board would likely do that with anybody in charge to be fair. Rodgers has said numerous times he needs quality. It’s time for the shower running is to come up with the goods. Another window like the summer and we are in huge bother. Too many projects, not enough quality.

They won't. Rodgers can't work on the budget he's been given, but that desired budget won't appear. We need a bandaid manager who can work with what he has, and save the league while the fans try to chase the board out. WGS, Robson...

Bottom line is we should be beating the likes of hearts etc with the players we have.
W arent and to say wait till he gets his own players in is not acceptable.

Yes new players will improve us but Rodgers should have this team fired up for every game and we should be winning easily but we struggle,he just doesnt seem up for it,hes no passion, drive,or energy, everything about him is slow and casual and we can see it on the pitch even our style is slow and casual.

Bandaid managers aren't going to be exciting. But we're not getting a big name which will get amply backed this January. Board won't let it. And forcing them out will take months. Ideally, we get someone who can keep the title race close.

Sensible post. It feels strange seeing a guy like Yang in a Rodgers system- the boy feels made for a counterattacking system. Then again, he himself didn't say: "Find someone else."

The bolded part may be even more important. We pay Rodgers a lot, but he can't really get used to working with cheap players. If the board do not get removed, we need a manager with far less pedigree, and an experience in doing well with small budgets. A new Ange.

I genuinely believed he was the right choice, having succeeded before and inheriting a team full of talent that played exhilarating attacking football. Unfortunately, what we've witnessed is the slow dismantling of our identity – the hard work, pressing, speed, and clinical play we were known for are now absent.

It's evident that his management isn't effective. The only way to possibly salvage this season with Rodgers would be through substantial recruitment in January, demanding a considerable investment to attract proven talent capable of winning despite his shortcomings. Costly and very unlikely to happen.

However, success isn't guaranteed if hefty investment is an option. While Ange, clearly a talented manager, has won with inexperienced and out of position players in some games when we were injury ravaged. There are managers out there, despite having quality at their disposal, can manage to lose.

As much as I believed he was the correct choice at the beginning - Twist.

It's a risk either way, could get rid and bring a new guy in, what if he loses a few games, do we bin him as well ?

As much as the alarm bells are ringing, i think the Board should back Rodgers in the January window, could backfire who knows.
