    We'd be really missing out on him. Don't think he'll go there anyway, though.

    I think we should sign May.
    His scoring stats are quite good and that's with St Johnstone.
    I think they would increase quite a bit playing for Celtic as we have better players (although not in the last few games we have played :54:) and he would benefit greatly from the increased amount of chances our team would give him.

    Scoring more than 1 goal every 2 games last season is quite good especially when he wasn't playing for us. If those stats stayed the same then he could add 30+ goals to our tally.

    Keep Stokes, Griffiths and bring May in.
    Sell Forrest, Ambrose. Bring a couple of defenders.

    Apparently the Rotherham deal could be worth around £1 million for St Johnstone, which is huge for them.

    I doubt we could compete with that kind of money, being as we're downsizing and all that.

    Dunno why we wouldn't give it a go at that price.

    * Rotherham :56:

    A very visible indicator of the level of the player i.e. not good enough for Celtic.

    It didn't stop us signing Griffiths, who was playing at a lower level than Rotherham currently are.

    Disregarding the fact the 2 are not comparable - Wolves are a far bigger club than Rotherham.

    But you already knew that.

    He has gotta be worth a punt at a million, if it does not work out we can always offload him to some english team in a year or two.

    You have just stated that the level of the team interested in May is an indicator that he isn't good enough for Celtic. Yet we signed a player who was playing in League 1, and as far as I'm aware, wasn't being chased by many clubs. Judging whether a player is good enough for Celtic by basing it on who is interested in him, is rather silly in my opinion. FWIW, I don't think either of them are good enough, and sadly, we have one of them.

    I would say that they are comparable also.

    Wolves level was a false one, they are a much bigger and stronger club than the likes of Rotherham. We weren't competing with League 1 clubs for Griffiths' signature though either.
