    To be fair Gerrard was world class.. He could have played for anyone at his peak, and to me that constitutes world class.

    That one thing that Liverpool team had was an abundance of pace from Riise to Baros they were so quick on the counter. I remember AC at that time were so technical but so slow also. Both strong teams.

    Not at all, don't think of Liverpool in any way and don't hate Gerrard. But the fact is he was joining Chelski and the deal fell through at the last moment because he owed a favour to Liverpool gangsters. They called in the favour at a face to face meeting or he would lose the knee caps! Fact. Wept like a child apparently!

    Surprised to see the amount of grief he's been getting.

    Yes, he lacked discipline in his play and he attempted the 'Hollywood' pass an awful lot. However, he will be remembered for the spectacular goals, last minute winners and the spell in the mid 2000's where he was so influential in Liverpool winning trophies. That, plus his longevity will see him go down as one of the greatest players of the Premier League era.

    Him and Scholes could make a few $ by bringing out a DVD of all their goals from outside the box. Id buy it, probably the two best strikers of a ball from 20-25 yards i've seen in any League, the blasting the ball type of goals, then again they probably just attempted millions but probably scored a good 50+ between them.
