Yeah I think we'll bring in another couple of players on Monday. WGS keeps going on about how important last year's transfer window signings were. Perhaps we'll get Evans on loan and another CD or LB.

This would be a brillant signing in my opinion as i think we need someone in our team who can make the other strikers work for the place! Hes still young, 21, and i think we need someone who will bang the goals in....and i think he could do this!

Was talking to my cousin and she is seeing some footballer who plays for Queen of the South and his mate is Steven Fletcher. She told me Steven Fletcher said to her boy friend ''I cant belive that * isnt letting me go to Celtic'' She said he's a huge Celtic fan and wants to sign for them....

The reporter from Easter Road reckons it's between Middlesbrough and Celtic for Fletcher. I'm afraid they might out-bid us.

They might outbid us, but they are getting relegated if he fancies Championship football next season :bbpd:

I actually think Celtic are bluffin about Fletcher, and are trying to force the hand of other striking targets by making out we are about to buy Fletcher :86:

could be a clever move !

    Ched Evans ???

I would very much doubt that.

    As a permanent deal anyway.

Edit: Yeah where did you hear that?

In the Hunday Mail today, looks like the boy wants to come
I want fee to be agreed so I can move to Celtic now, says Hibs hitman Steven Fletcher HIBS star Steven Fletcher last night begged his club not to price him out of a move to Celtic.

HIBS star Steven Fletcher last night begged his club not to price him out of a move to Celtic.
The Parkhead club launched a £2million bid for the talented 21-year-old striker on Friday but it was rejected by the Easter Road board.
It is believed Hibs are holding out for closer to £4m because the Scotland internationalist is under contract until 2013.
However, Fletcher has told MailSport he wants a fee to be agreed so he can move before the transfer window closes tomorrow.
More talks between agent Scott Fisher and the clubs will take place today - but only if Hibs reduce their asking price.
Celtic are willing to offer youngster Paul Caddis on loan as part of the deal but Dundee United are also keen to sign the Scotland Under-21 full-back.
Speaking exclusively to MailSport, Fletcher said: "I'm excited at the thought of moving to Celtic Park. I'm ambitious and would love to play for them.
"I'm at a stage where I want to win things and play in the Champions League. Celtic will give me that chance.
"For the development of my career it is time to move to a bigger club.
"It will help me and improve my chances of playing for Scotland.
"If I get the chance to go to Celtic I don't plan to be sitting on the bench. They have international class players in every position but I will work hard and push to get in the starting line-up.
"It is within my capabilities to make a worthwhile contribution to Celtic and their push for silverware. But it's out of my hands and that's a little frustrating.
"I've been in the Hibs first team since I was 17 and have enjoyed every minute. Hibs have been good to me and I will always appreciate that - but it is time for me to progress and I hope that is taken in to account."

The only club he supports is Liverpool. His dad was a Scouse squaddie, who was mad for 'Pool, but died of cancer when Fletcher was around 12. His Scottish mother moved back to Glasgow and he was brought up in a family of huns, but he's not fussed for a Scottish club either way.

The boy realises to win anything he has to move to a club who will win championships and cups otherwise he will be just another journeyman player. 2m 2ven 2.5m fair enough more they are chancing their lucks.
He is a good player with good potential for growth

I like this post tbh agree with it 80% sammy does need confidence and a coach to work on his touch then we wouldn't need another striker.

BUT i do think fletcher would be a good investment if not for our team then for a sell on later.
