    Got to disagree Hammer. I think his mobility and ability in the air will mean he would score for fun with Celtic.

    Not as good as JVOH but better than Samaras. THe boy is a talent with potential same as brown was at hibs so i reckon it would be a good buy, but if we could get evans i would go for him

    He hasn't scored for fun in the SPL for Hibs though?

    My gripe is he was a gangly kid trying to make his way in the game then Madrid had him watched a couple times, as they do with tens of potential stars across the world, and suddenly he was a world beater. He's a striker with a poor goalscoring record and any time I've seen him I've not said 'that guy is a £3 million+ player'.

    The whole Real Madrid thing about him has went quiet recently and if thats how much they want for him he is way to over priced.

    Wouldnt say Skippy was scoring for fun for Motherwell either. But I don't think it's easy to make comparisons. What I do believe though that this is the future for Celtic, to cream off the best players from every other SPL club when they are young and mould them into Champions League experienced players.

    I dont really pay much attentin to the Madrid thing. As you say they will watch plenty of players thriughout the world, and if they want one they usually just take him.

    your right, he hasn't got a great scoring record, but IMO he has the ability to improve on that with Celtic.

    I've been impressed with him when I've seen him. He is mobile and finds space, he has a good touch and difficult to disposess and he is good in the air.

    at 21 your buying potential, which I think he has bags of. We need a striker in my opinion and i think he would be an asset.

    I dont think he has done much to warrant a value of 3mil or even close to it. IMO Ched Evans would be a better prospect for us and less money.

    A left back wouldnt go a miss either

    even if it is 3 mill the boy has talent and playing with better players at celtic will bring the best out of him.this boy could be a star for us for many a year to come imo.

    Hasn't shown anything this season to be rated at 3m. Remember players like Riordan, McDonald, Boyd, Naismith and O'Conner were all scoring 20 goals plus a season before they got moves.

    I've spoken about him to a few Hi-bees and they'd take your arm off for 3m for him. They say that Nish is more consistant. I know it is an investment and that we'll probably be able to get at least half our money back but i really don't see him getting on infront of Samaras or JVoH. I'd rather have a striker with real pace.

    Very average player, not set for any level higher than the SPL.

    £3m could be well better spent.

    The boy is so one footed that he wastes half his chances trying all sorts to get it onto his good foot.

    Was watching the Edinburgh Derby, and one of his efforts made me cringe, set up perfectly for his right, goal at his mercy, takes a few touches to put it onto his left and smacks it off the defender.

    Wouldnt go for fletcher id prefer Ched Evans esp at 1.2m. To be honest, anything around 3m is pipedreams for us, maybe a 3m signing in the summer if were lucky

    whats the point in this ? we have went for a few players and so far we could end up with flood!! we have lost out on kovac,cech,etc so what makes you think we will get fletcher? and i dont think 3m will get either tbh.
