With all due respect we seem to be hammering some nails into our own We seem to have a complete inability to sign anyone with any degree of real talent and if we do get anyone like that WGS invariably uses them tactically in ways we can never understand. We have at least 6 individuals in the first team right now who are not good enough and while I don't expect him to replace them all it would help if he could augment the squad with just a few. We do want to win the league after all and I'm not sure the current team has it in them.

I agree Fletcher is over rated and over priced but I believe he has the ability to be turned into a right good player as was the case with Scott Brown. If we don't take the odd gamble based on what we perceive to be a good opportunity then where do we go from here? It seems everyone is out of our price range

He won't sign now anyway. Doubt we could agree a fee, do a medical, agree personal terms and get him through to Glasgow in under 2 hours.

Ah well, at least we've got Cillian Sheridan to come off the bench when we need goals.

I think it proves more that our form has been poor, rather than we have a poor squad. There have been times this season when we looked unbeatable, the only problem we need to deal with is inconsistency.

I remember before the window opened saying that i would not be to fussed if we never signed anyone, because at the time i was confident we already had the squad to win the title. Again nothing has changed, apart from our form.

This is the same team that proved the whole country wrong last season when they looked down and out

Yeah i think your right about taking gambles, that's the financial situation we're in, but i don't feel that January is the time to do it.

 

Strachan obviously thinks JVOH, McDonald, Samaras and Sheridan is enough to win the league. I don't. As yesterday proved, when the going gets tough, we don't have the strikers who'll steal a goal so we bring on Sheridan.

TBF Celtic did make an offer for Fletcher and Hibs rejected it, saying they will not let him leave in this window. We can't do anything about that..

Then why did he try to sign Fletcher?

 

Hibs can say hes not for sale, but Hibs are a selling club and if a certain amount of money gets offerd for him, they will accept it.

 

I didn't say he doesn't think we need another striker. I said he thinks what we have is enough to win the league, therefore he isn't too bothered if we get him or not.

 

I wouldnt pay 4M (the asking price) for him, no * way. Daylight Robbery!
