    What I don't get is the whole "experience, leadership and character" theory. This is a guy who has carved out a career in relegation battles or mid table mediocrity, but because it's been in the footballing mecca that is engerlund he is seen as a wizened guru of sorts.

    We've got a dressing room full of guys that have won nine titles in a row, a treble treble and played in umpteen big euro ties. If I was in that situation and this cabbage came in and tried to extol his alleged experience I'd be like "aye, show us yer medals then!"

    Stoke City are set to bolster their attacking options after winning the race to sign Scotland striker Steven Fletcher.

    The Potters have believed to have agreed terms with the forward and he could be unveiled this afternoon



    Stoke have been on the lookout to strengthen their attack having been recently linked with Kieffer Moore who signed for Cardiff City earlier this week.

    But now the Potters have tied up a deal for Fletcher who was a free agent after leaving Sheffield Wednesday where he snubbed a contract extension

    If he had come in along with Ajeti I would have been happy. If he had come in instead of Ajeti I would have been raging.

    He would have been a decent option off the bench in certain games but no big loss.
