For all his recent form, when Boyata is put under pressure and obviously he will in CL, he crumbles.

Could say the same to anyone, you seem to know more about superhero films than people that make superhero films...

Some great points there guys. I mentioned it earlier on the rumours page. I think the lad just lost his way - earning so much money as a kid, and by the sounds of it the gambling took over his life. Anyone with a shred of decency should empathise if he's been struggling mentally. It's a fine line for us all. He sounds like a decent guy though, I read about him last year doing voluntary work in Africa and I think he paid for something to be built. Purely on ability though, if Rodgers can get him playing to his potential then you are talking even a level up from Sinclair, who he played with at Swansea. He's not even at his peak yet, especially for a centre half, and you hear all the top managers saying the same thing, there is a shortage of top top defenders, especially central. There's the lad Walker leaving Spurs today for over £50 million, it's fecking bizarre. As well as Sinclair, Caulker will know Chris Davies and Glen Driscoll from Swansea. His grandparents stay In Edinburgh too so it could be a good fit.

He's a signing that would make sense, for many reasons. Hope there's something to it.

Can't see it myself, Boyata n Jozo seem to have a good partnership going. If both are fit then they will be first choice imo.

No I don't, nor do I act like I do. You are saying saying clubs, therefore managers, have been "conned" into buying him.

He was excellent at Swansea and had a good season at Cardiff. He had shown that he ability, hence the England call up at a fairly young age. Plus, if Rodgers likes him then that's good enough for me.

My opinion of him is that he's *. Im not claiming anything other than that, same as anyone else who thinks he's good, same as anyone has opinions on anything from films to tennis or politics.

Let Rodgers bring him in, build up his confidence, confident he can develop him into a top class center half..

It'd be a good move for both parties, Rodgers would keep him on the straight and narrow and he'd breeze it up here I think

Looks like your the only one on here who thinks this way. That tells me you must be wrong. As I said I haven't seen much of him so will reserve my judgement but I'm excited enough about this signing if true

Yes and that's fine. But you didn't just leave it at "I think he's *". You're going on about how managers and clubs are idiots for getting him, as if he had never shown any ability.

    Which is just bollocks.

I think all the mental health issues as well as the gambling problems he was facing must surely have had an adverse effect on his playing. With any luck he has put all this behind him and can go back to concentrating on his football and see him return to the player he was.

Had his cap for England in a friendly. If he comes up here, could finally be a chance for him to get involved with the Scotland squad?

Caulker would be a good fit with Boyata, Jozo and Eric.4 good permutations there.
Willing to give him every chance again this year, but Eric has a bit of ground to make up.

Then he can do the same to Rodwell, Onuoha, Micah Richards, Tom Cleverley and all the others.

A 1 year deal, with the option of more, would make sense.

Good defender when he wants to be.

Hopefully he is rid of his demons and we sign him.
