Agree. He's very young for CB and for his age is pretty composed on the ball. Could develop into a very good player over the next few years. It's unfair to judge him on a few minutes here and there when he's hardly getting any game time. I also don't remember any glaring mistakes he's made. He was pretty solid when he was a regular last season and the start of this season to the point where I think most folk thought he was unlucky to be dropped when Starfelt took his place.

  3. He needs a loan to develop. It was harsh on him that we couldn’t let him do it this season because how threadbare the squad is, and the tides turned on him now because of it IMO.

Get him out for a full season under his belt, as well as Dane Murray for a couple of seasons it’ll only do us well.

He shouldn’t have been dropped for Starfelt if it was on form, strong management from Ange has proven he was right to do it and make sure he developed what he wanted from us as a system and the way he wanted. And Starfelt has majorly, majorly answered the critics by now for me. But that’s not a slight on Welsh. Get him out on loan next season learn his trade and get him back to us.

  4. We've lost 4 domestic games this season he's at fault for the winning goal in 3 of them.
Played well last season.... No he didn't he just wasnt as * * as Shane Duffy. He got turned inside out 3 or 4 times by a 38 year old Defoe.
As for being "fairly composed" on the ball. It took him 10 minutes after coming on in the semi to pass to a * team mate.

Will never ever make it at Celtic in a million years.

  10. Congrats his passion for the club was there for all to see warming up yesterday. As said previous a season long loan to a Aberdeen etc would do him the world of good.

  11. Punt on loan asap.

Kid needs regular football to develop.

Currently, hes nowhere near good enough to be back up cb, nevermind starting

  12. He done a job at times, as said maybe out on loan, maybe the Italian gig might come up again thatd be good for him.

  13. Was disappointed for him that it got rejected at the time tbh. Suppose we didn't really have the cover that the manager would've wanted in order to send him out. But even so, big opportunity for his career that one. Especially if it was a loan move.

Played well for the U21’s vs Belgium, skipper as well. Solid and very comfortable on the ball as usual and got subbed off last 5 mins.

Unfortunate for him Starfelt and CCV are a brilliant pairing, he’s not far off the first team and a loan would do him well but think Ange will keep him in as back up.

I don't really rate him but really hope he can prove me wrong! Big season ahead whether with us or on loan.

  20. Boy has got the goods imo. Obviously not the finished article but got big hopes for his future here. Right behind the lad as we all should be.
