He did his chances no harm at all today. He certainly wasn’t the issue.

 

Did well and wouldn't hesitate to use him again but I think his positioning and style of play brought the worst out in frimpong he's probably more suited to a 442

 

Nah; that’s too easy on Frimpong for me: didn’t step up to the occasion (something Welsh did), looked like a rabbit in the headlights. Only effect I think Welsh’s selection had on him was psychological: didn’t have a RCB significantly older than him playing alongside him, and the occasion got to him because he realised he’d have to step up, and ultimately couldn’t.

 

Ntcham let Frimpong down more so than Welsh.

The point in a back 3 with wingbacks is that Frimpong should be covering that entire wing and getting help from both the right sided CB and the right side Midfielder.
Brutal to put that all on Welsh, first game in a year. Ntcham owed him more.
But that neither excuses the fact most the squad today was below par, again.

 

Class act in the making this Bhoy yeh ok he got caught out second half with not sticking with his marker, but hey whole team was * and Duffy was the biggest let down today.

 

He will have his days against them that's for sure

played well didnt look like a development player at all

that will be the last we see of him for 6months or a year though

 

I have to say I was impressed with him. Need more game time.

 

I thought he looked lost tbh, as much if the team did.

Never should have started this game.

 

I actually thought he was pretty poor in moments but he wasn't bad compared to others

 

He should have reacted much faster when Goldson scored their second. He was ball watching hoping Duffy would do something.

He didn't make any obvious mistakes, but we were never under real pressure from them.

 

For me Lenny should have went to 4 at the back given our injuries and the kid wouldn't have played but can't complain, got very little help from the experienced pro next to him and never hid.

 

Weren't we all.

 

Jurys still well and truly out.

Dropped in at the deep end but was far from the worse player on the pitch or even in defence.

 

He done well overall, but should have attacked the ball for their second goal.

 

He done just fine, actually quite excited by him tbh. Same with Laxalt. Don’t think the defence was actually that bad yesterday, First goal coulda been dealt with better but right enough. It was the absolute zero desire, hunger and creativity of the folk infront that * us.
