    Surely only never played due to plastic pitch. Welsh should never be ahead of him again.
    I'd prefer Jullien when his knee was in the brace and his ligaments were all * over Welsh

    Harsh to judge him on tonight, barely played since start of season and thrown in against a very good high pressing side. Him and Starfelt didn’t play well together before as well. Still think he’ll come good just needs games now.

    The fact that him and starfelt didn't play well and as you said haven't before maybe points at him being the issue as Starfelt has generally been fine next to CCV

    If we want to make inroads in Europe then we have to be ruthless and say Welsh isn't good enough and needs to be replaced. Not the only one right enough scales and starfelt imo not good enough at that level.

    He was excellent in next to CCV when Starfelt was out injured and then kept him out the team for a few games as well. We rely on CCV a lot defensively, without him we struggle.

    As said before, don't see the level in him which others and (clearly) the club do. He has some glaring weaknesses which will be hard to overcome no matter what age he is.

    We could very easily do better.

    It's important to have squad players though that are domestically developed or home grown. If he can be a 4th choice centre back then its something to be considered. But his distribution tonight was shocking. I'm sure Ange will have learnt a lot about certain squad players this evening.
