I wasn't aware of that. Rumours surfacing all day that Welsh will start could be true.

He was thrown in last season in an away game and done very well. If it's true best of luck to the lad, good performance and a coming of age tomro and suddenly we have another CB option going forward this season . If he plays , I'm sure we are playing 352 and he will no.doubt be targeted by Kent, as he will surely play on the right of the three, but welshs mobility might suit that match up

We haven’t produced a centre half from
The academy for a while, it’s about time we give some of them a chance.

He's the nephew of one of mates. The family are massive Tim's and I know they will all be delighted that he got the nod today.

I hope the Bhoy plays well and just keeps calm. Don't doubt HE knows what this game means to the fans...... good luck son..

Thought the young fella stepped up and was alright today. Lot of sideways passes, but it was a huge game for one of his first proper starts.

He didn’t embarrass himself and made a couple of decent blocks and interceptions. Looked more committed than most of the rest.

Made a couple of mistakes but that’s expected.

Showed up that diddy beside him.

Constantly talking and telling players to make options and where to go which is worrying.

Didn't look out of place today and done more than enough to ask the question of being given more game time.

Lad should always have been around the squad more than he has, so that he isnt tossed in to such a game with no minutes this season. But he handled it well enough and did not look completely fazzed by it.
    Game was lost elsewhere today.

Deserves more starts, but I dare say after this coming week, once Bitton and Julien are back, we wont see the lad again till next pre season.

Yeah thought he did well today but I thought that when he started against Hamilton and don’t think we have seen him since!

Didn’t let us down at all today. Wish I could say the same for the rest.

Thought Ajer did well in the second half and thought Laxalt did decent considering the lack of movement in front of him and he got stuck in which is more than can be said for the rest.
