A lot to do with that delivery, just enough height on it to clear first defender, lovely pace on the ball and just sort of redirects it to the net. Well done Welsh

 

Doesn’t get the praise he deservers I think, so composed at the back for young player with little experience. Saved Bittons * as well busting a gut to make that tackle.

 

The big man loves it seems to be the Celtic fan Kieran Tierney always wanted to be

 

Welsh will be a good Celtic player IF he continues to improve at a steady rate. Love his desire and commitment.

 

Think he can be Scotland's first choice centre back soon if he keeps developing. Has a few brain farts now and then but overall he's been pretty impressive imo.

 

His performance level has really improved the last few times he's been called upon.

Real desire coupled with good composure, must admit wasn't really sure about him but he looks to have kicked on again.

 

He was MOTM against Betis, for me.

 

This guy is still young and inexperienced he will continue to make mistakes as he learns the game but I have no doubt he will be a great player

I can't remember Starfelt winning a aerial battle all game. Welsh would've at least won a few.

 

Starfelt had a poor game today, would have suited Welsh as he enjoys a fight and wins most of his headers

 

He'll be back on Wednesday as Starfelt is suspended and hopefully keeps his spot.

 

Really hope Welsh turns up. The jersey is definitely up for grabs.

 

Probably would've scored one of those headers as well..

I still think Starfelt is better but after that today, I can't have any complaints if he sits out for a bit..

Was a disgrace of a performance and he was pretty pish in midweek..

 

Think Ange got away with that today. Should have hooked Starfelt early second half..

 

Solid and dependable as always, along with CCV. Had to come to page 3 to find this thread, which I'm OK with in regards to a defender. Goes about his business quietly and confidently.

 

Rather he starts than Starfelt if I’m honest.
