No he hasn’t. He’s nothing special but he’s a better player than Welsh.

That much was obvious before he got injured.

He absolutely has, he’s largely been a bombscare with some good qualities that dovetails well with Carter-Vickers. Wait till he’s back, claws will be back out for him then. When is he back btw?

    Utter drivel.

He had a poor first few games here but was solid after that until the injury. Of course he still makes the odd mistake, they all do, but to suggest he’s largely been a bombscare is nonsense.

The claws will be out for him from people who can’t see past those first few games. Some clown in here was suggesting he’s our worst ever CB. That’s the level of idiocy we’re talking about.

He makes a lot more mistakes than most. That last part is ‘utter drivel’ from moon howlers. He has some good qualities that goes well with Carter-Vickers but he’s nervy and weak.

His covering play is what makes me like him but people are going well overboard with how ‘good’ he was before he got injured.

Personally I think he was still getting up to speed; people are spouting absolute * about him in both directions though. He still has a lot to work on and prove if he wants to be a better option than Carter-Vickers or Julien when he’s back.

Jullien has to prove he’s the same player he was, when he comes back from injury. His lack of pace worries me in this system.

CCV and Starfelt should be the two starters until Jullien can dislodge either of them. He’s a good centre half but he’s another who has got better the longer he’s been out. No doubt gives us a massive boost aerially, but he was far from perfect.

Aye, nobody should just be handed a start regardless of wage or how much they were brought in for, that includes Starfelt as well.

Yes he was a bombscare who had improved massively. After the international break we had collected 3 clean sheets from 4 games and then got injured v Livi where we got another clean sheet. After that we’ve managed one clean sheet since with Welsh as CCV’s partner.

Starfelt was finally adjusting to the speed and physicality of the SPL. He’s by no means perfect but he had improved and so had we as a consequence.

Welsh is a great talent but he’s still behind Starfelt IMO, Welsh gets another chance to change our opinions come Thursday.

Solid in some games. But almost every game until a few before his injury (where he was very good), he has had bombscare moments.

He looks like he was starting to come good, but he's far from that right now. Jury is definitely out

Ange, has said quote; we don't stop, we never stop, keep moving the ball, the stop at half time, we stop at full time. If the other side wanna stop, good, we'll * take advantage".

Welsh stops... Constantly while in possession. Takes the ball, stops it dead, looks about for people to move for him, and them just squares it off.

Sorry, but for me, he's miles off it.

I don't think he's miles off it but I agree that he's too slow to pick his pass. Indecisive

Starfelt is a better defender than Welsh
Welsh is better bringing the ball out from the back and his passing is probably better

I'd pick the better defender every time though.

Another solid performance from the boy. Good use of the ball.

That was his best performance for me, and of course it's the one where he gets an injury.

    Really hope the lad recovers.

Did really well. Glad he came off though. Thought he was trying to play on before Hart had a word. Don't think that would have helped him at all trying to struggle on.
