  1. Totally.

I think we are maybe 3 players away.

I'd be happy with a first team squad of maybe 18-20 and any injury worries youth being involved.
But due to not really even having a full first team...ange has only had youth and youth are proving to be a * good choice.

As long as we dont need to rely in bitton at centre back. Midfield I can handle...not centre back.

Also right now.......Welsh is future captain material

Won pretty much everything that came his way. Good, that’s his job.

It’s when he puts his foot on the ball. No * given cool as you like. You can practically hear the voice in Starfelts head saying “don’t give it to me”. Welsh is like. Fine mate, I’ll just at stroll 20 yards and give it to Cal or Tony. It’s an absolute disgrace we are relying on him and Ralston at this stage in the season but both of them are stepping up and becoming two of our most important players. Testament to them and testament to Ange for believing in them. When a manager trusts you it gives you confidence.

Even in Anges pre match press conference they were saying you need defenders. Ange is like. Yeah mate, to compete with Tony and Welsh. They must get such a buzz from that.

Plus * knows what he’s whispering in their ears all day. The lads look like they could move mountains just now.

  3. I think Welsh deserves more credit than he gets and I believe thats been the case since he came back to us from his loan to ?ayr? He does what's asked, aye he's not the most polished defender, he's not van djik but he's solid. If it had been the other way around between him and Starfelt with us having paid 4.5 for Welsh and not paid for Starfelt we'd be singing his praises for coming in and being a 4.5 million defender

  4. Another great game. Said it end of last season, he's definitely a better and more natural CB than Ajer.

Absolutely solid again, type of defended you need in a team. Not flashy, just keeps it simple with a great defensive instinct.

  6. Thats what pleases me about him. That and the fact he’s got a great leap on him. I like this kid’s character. The jersey doesn’t shrink and it doesn’t need to for Stephen.

  7. I would say he is fairly polished to be fair. He’s a decent dribbler and a good passer. Very comfortable on the ball IMO.

The one thing he lacks is an extra bit of height, but it’s not held him back so far.

I'm a big fan of his, think every game he's played for us he looks better and never ever hides. Cracking player, about time we produced a good centre half of our own.

  9. Can’t fault him of late.

Personally think he's on target for being the main man. He's young to expect many mistakes to come, but as long as he learns I'm fine with that. Probably best thing for us aswel. Develop a big centre half playing this system as its hard to get to grips with it as a defender if your already established.

  11. Like the way he goes about his job and is improving every week. When big Julien comes back that would take some of the weight off as well you would think.

  12. Find him a partner to play alongside. If he played for another SPFL we’d be screaming to sign him.

Something that has been missing, along side a few other things, for what feels like an eternity.

You can tell the players have bought into Ange's philosophy and it is paying off.

I know we're no where near where we will be under Ange. We've still got a long way to go and defensively we look soft. But it is night and day from last season and even night and day from the Midtjylland games. Even defensively, we look more of a unit than we did in those games and that's saying something.

If we back Ange correctly, we'll be transformed in such a short space of time that we'll leave the huns thinking what the *.

  15. Called up for the 21’s, no senior call up this time round

  16. To be fair that’s what the fans have also cried out for, for years, more trust in the youth system.

Agreed mate. It shouldn’t be forced on us though. No one could have foreseen this quality from Ralston and we have known about our RB situation for months. I’m delighted for him but it’s more by luck than design.

  20. That should change. Testing players in the SPFL/cups should happen as part of a plan.
