Needed to take that chance today. Good game apart from that. Surely Clarke tempted to take him to the euros? Scotland’s cb options are *

More garbage patter from you. He was jointly at fault for the first goal. Stood there and lifted his hand half-heartedly. Looked beaten from the moment the ball came anywhere near the box.

Don't want to be too harsh but his defending for the 4th was criminal..

He's young and hopefully he will learn and not going to have a go at any young player and Defoe is a old pro and did that to many experienced defenders in the past .

He's shown over the season that he has something about him, even if it is to be wheeled out to play against Motherwell or Kilmarnock and give first choice defenders a break.

We do need better but he's more than capable of getting a few games next season.

Under a decent manager he'd have been nurtured and brought into the fold gradually.

What he got was thrown into a * side under a * manager and was expected to solve problems. He's not done to bad in that respect. Hopefully he's given the correct treatment by our next manager.

I still rate him and think he can be play an important role for us next season, just not as first choice atm.

Feel for the guy, got totally skinned for the last goal but hopefully, that will be a valuable lessen for him-and will never happen him again. Was actually decent enough for 90min.
    Chin up son, move on.

Everyone has a bad game, he is no different, I honestly still think he will play a big part for us next season.

Haven't seen you on this thread all season, while the lad's been doing decently. One bad performance and suddenly you're here acting like he's Du Wei.

He's proven that he should be more than good enough to be at least a backup CB, or to start against most domestic opponents, next season.

He will be fine as a backup next season to come in and give the first choices a rest here and there. He has already shown he can cope in the league vs most teams.

There’s my comment from the other month.

The guy was turned inside out by a 40 year old Defoe.

He’s another Ralston as far as I am concerned. We need much, much better than him.

People are kidding themselves on if they think he is celtic quality. Absolutely frightening he's been given the contract he has. Another Ralston in waiting.

He doesn't even show the potential to be a starting celtic centre half (very difficult too when he is small and has no pace) and when he's not even showing that there's no point keeping him. You need your 3rd,4th and 5th choice CBs to be comfortable starters and atleast have the potential to be a 1st choice. He has neither.

Boy has stood in and done a job but we need much better, he is a back up CB at best. Also doesn’t help he’s playing beside a converted CDM and a honking RB.

He's improved a lot in the games he's played. His decision making has got better and he's not so rash to dive in for balls he's not winning.

He's young and not ready to be a first team player.

He’s earned the right to prove his worth next season. I’m not convinced by him tbh but he’s been thrown in at the deep end, never hid and shown a few glimpses of a decent player.

He’s had one bad game and * are turning on him for * sake!

He has been thrown in the deep end done a good job and today he’s not had a good game! But most of the team didn’t either.

I honestly hope we stick by him when the new manager comes in.
