    Caldwell, McManus and O'Dea were truly hideous players.

    This happens quite often when * players leave, a myth gathers that they weren't as bad as some made out.

    All of the above were terrible. They are not the answer, the fact they may be marginally better than what we have at present doesn't say much about their ability, more about how * our current clowns are.

    We need proper defenders, and I'm afraid McManus and his ilk are certainly not the answer.

    He knows what it takes to win the league title and was captain during the unforgettable 2007/08 season, the last time we actually won the league.

    His heart is in the right place. He loves Celtic, is committed to the cause and contrary to what some are saying on here, he's not terrible. He's better than both Loovens and Majstorovic for a start.

    I'm not against this move. I don't think we should be making him our no.1 priority, if there is a centre back available to us with more talent and still within our budget, but I wouldn't be sad if he came back again.

    He will be the reason Martinez gets the sack.

    In fact, he was the reason they almost got relegated last season.

    I find it amazing that this clown actually made his way into professional football.

    he used to cost us everygame we lost especially european games o.gs passing to henry to curl in top bag etc mind benfica away haha .. i have never hated someone in a hoops strip as much as a hated him

    I remember in 2007/2008 we played ICT away in December.

    We had a cracking start, going 2-0 up within something like 5 minutes. I thought we were going to give them a right doing that day.

    By half time we were losing 3-2 because of two clowns called McManus and Caldwell.

    A more incompetent bunch of error-prone idiots you’d be unlikely to find.
