Using bold lettering doesnt make your post more valid that anyone elses.

Dont use it just to get attention again

Didn't say that at all  But this guy was in his late twenties approaching thirty when his left knee took a shattering. While neither of us are Doctors, getting couped up recuperating at that stage of a career can have a knock-on effect to other ailments. It happens all the time - one big injury the start of a dominoe effect that ends a career.

So you really think it's a co-incidence that Roy Keane smashes his leg in an act of reckless cuntery, and the guy plays perhaps 1 or 2 recovery games in the rest of his career? Nothing to do with that original tackle? :97: Needless to say I'm dubious

I mentioned this assault in another thread last night as I was appalled at his actions.

If we were 1-0 up with a minute to go there would be some form of excuse in that he "took one for the team", ie he stopped what would have been a clear opportunity on goal and he would have wasted time. Even at that it would have been shocking, I remember the Forsyths and Greigs of this world routinely hammering guys but this was the act of a thug. A thick one at that.

Celtic Captain - he should and probably will be shown the door in January along with Coco the Clown next to him who wants to double his wage. Did you see that attempt at a cross in the dying minutes when he was facing the North Stand? all he had to do was turn and then cross it, but noooooooo, fancy dan wanted to hit the Holywood pass.

Who should be captain? Boruc? Hinkel?

Shame on the Celtic team for letting our fans down again. It is not Mowbrays fault that we cant put one of at least 6 clear cut chances in the net. Mowbray may get blamed for playing certain guys, but his signing, Fortune, is injured so he has to play who was already on the books.

McManus should apologise to Driver and to the supporters and then enjoy his career in the juniors in Ayrshire where he belongs

Unacceptable challenge, but i'd be lying if i said it wasn't the one entertaining part of yesterday evening's viewing for me.

Plus, the knock on effect is that someone who can actually play football will be playing against Killie this weekend. Clouds and their silver linings eh?

You seem to have conveniently forgot that it was N'Guemo who lost possession and Fox who gave away the penalty. Who signed them?

IMO, his 4-4-1-1 isnt effective enough

I agree Micks challenge was a bad one and had it been 1-0 to us i would have acceppted it as taking one for the team but it was just ridiculous and needless. Did it matter if Driver scored? No because we werent going to score anyway and it was on his bad side so Zaluska would probably have saved it. Just another example of the absolutely plain stupid decisions our "Captain" makes sometimes.
And yep Dempsey i fully agree, 4-4-1-1 is stupid. Zheng should either play in midfield or not at all because we need 2 strikers on the pitch.

I agree the formation is wrong.

In another thread I slated N'Guemo for being another tippy tappy smurf. His lack of stature and lack of composure on the ball is shocking

We still should have scored from the plethora of chances to overcome the penalty, which was blatant.

I agree with Dempsey and Celticbhoy that this 4-4-1-1 is a bit odd.

Zhi seems to have all the attributes to be a good, positive battling centre-mid in a 4-4-2 - why can't we play that?

Saying that I have been underwhelmed by supposedly some of our stars of late, McGeady and McDonald to go into the bad books along with Scott Brown. BTM has to look at ways to get these guys playing and if not, look at ways to reshape the team without them (and probably without Caldwell)... That could be 3-4 signings right there in January. What a mess.

I haven't seen the tackle, so I cant really comment but it can't be that bad, surely?

The tackle was uncalled for, it makes no difference that Driver wasn't injured imo, the fact that he could have been is reason enough to condem it, however, McManus should be sold to whoever is willing to take him, not for that tackle, but for the simple reason he's such a poor player.

The tackle sums up McManus' entire Celtic career - trying to mask his shortcomings, being out of position and unable to catch Driver, by being aggressive.

It was a shocking tackle worthy of a sending off.

Craigyjac, imagine a Sunday pub league game and a defender with a grudge decides to take his opponent out when the ball has been knocked well past him.

Stupid tackle...yes......assault....* wise up people, ive seen worse tackles on a tuesday night playing 5's with friends.

If we were 1-0 up and mc manus had committed that tackle, not one person here would be calling that assault or mc manus to be publicly apologising..we would all be laughing our holes off and saying great tackle blah blah blah.

    You're dubious and I'm cynical :icon_mrgreen:

Next you'll be saying that Keane had a voodoo doll of Haaland and that was a factor too :56:

Did the medical staff blame the injury in the right knee? No, just the failed surgery and treatment after the failed surgery.

Also, Haaland played an international match 3 days after that Keane tackle and a EPL match the next weekend. Was he still pumped on adrenalin or something?

In short, Keane's tackle did not nor come near to ending Haaland's career.

I heard someone shouted to McManus as he came off the team bus, that he was a waste of space and he was looking to try and pick the guy out ,Caldwell on the other hand answered the bhoy back ,by trying to belittle him

Its not until you see them coming off the bus you realise how big a gap between the players and fans now , not one player looked up at the fans and the amount of security that surrounds that front door is a joke

Yeah the player with the grudge would probably go flying in 2 footed with studs up.

I actually had to go to the bbc website to see the tackle again.

    BBC SPORT | Scotland

Not as bad as people are making out tbh.
