3 million I dought that like his value would have went up there he would cost atleast 6 million unless the club has finance problems.

 

Hope its true but unless he is in the last year of his contract then 3 million seems unreal. Still think central midfield is where Rangers are closest to us in quality and am not even sure Brown, Sno and Hartley (assuming JJ and Grav join Lenny out the door) would match Rangers central midfield and if there were injuries owe would have big problems. Not to mention the wide areas where we are also very thin. So, IMO, the money will be focussed on at least one excellent central midfielder and a wide player not a striker. If we dont then Rangers could be stronger than us in a really crucial area of the team where old firm games are won and lost.

he looks good i hope we can tie it up but as for bellamy i fear we will be outbid unless hes really wants to come

 

Haven't seen much of him but watched the Videos and Feedback about him and he sounds a good player!

One Question:

Is 6 Million worth it for him? Is he worth the risk?

i dont think we'll get bellamy and appiah. its one or the other cos both are at least 6 million

 

i think stephen appiah is in the last year of his contract, so he shoodnt cost 6 mill if he cood just walk away for nuthing next summer. as for bellers just give a take it or leave offer to liverpool, then if they reject it celtic can concentrate on other players

 

dont think he is in his last year kim i think its just that he wants out and his team are reluctent to let him go, sorta like the petrov situation

i dont know that it has, i dont really see celtic splashing over ten million in the first few days of the window, has juve upped there intrest? i dont think they have.
i personally dont think we'll get him but i'd LOVE to see him in the hoops but the trail aint gone cold yet imo

Well Juve are lining up a 5.5mill CONTRACT for out of favour ibrahimovich (inter) so if Celtic are to swoop , the quicker the better as their attention will be else where.

 

Maybe Ranieri doesn't fancy him... Personally I think he would add some much needed power,bite and drive into our midfield area

Well if Schalke can't (or more tellingly if this is to be believed WON'T) meet his wage demands - can we?

Well perhaps we can, if we offload Gravesen, Balde, Miller & Jarosik - along with Lenny already off the wagebill.
With Scott Brown on about £25k a week we will be really freed up of wagebill if the above all leave, Killen & McDonald will be on a minimal wage (one would assume) - so perhaps we could afford Appiah's wage demands.

He's being quoted at £5million, we should be able to recoup that by selling the above players - so GAME ON??

I'd love to get Appiah & this seems to give us a wee bit of hope.

 

yuppers, even tho shalke are minted i think there highest paid player is kuraynoi on 30k a week, so they dont pay as high wages as people think, not many clubs do in the bundesliga. so maybe if celtic offer him 45k a week we shood be A OK

 

as much as i would like appiah,i think a £5mil price tag with wages that a bankrolled club wont meet(if it's true) would be too much for us.
