    He's been great all season but I personally wouldn't have given it to him.

    Main reason being I think he's going to get much better next season.

    Not true - there were people calling for his head in late Autumn , saying he was nowhere near Celtic class - he was poor . Since nearer Christmas he has played a more advanced role and was outstanding through January , February and March ( form has dipped lately undoubtedly ) . His performances in those months have made him a huge part of this championship winning side , however over the course of the season i think Van Dijk deserved the award comfortably. I agree next year is a big season for him and i can see him having an even better year , hitting the ground running and hopefully getting 20+ goals .


    Delighted Celtic players won both awards , would have been typical for them to give it to Rooney , glad it didn't turn out that way .

    Anyone that wanted him out or thought he was * at the start of the season are idiots.

    The same idiots that keep on suggesting he's useless at centre mid. The reality is he has certain attributes which are better suited to a more advanced role but he has played well all season, including in the deeper role beside Brown.

    He did have a rough start to the season,but in saying that, the whole team were pish at the start of the season. I remember thinking who this guy was in the middle of the park. He was completely anonymous, but he was instrumental in our turn-around and our success.

    Was talking about how happy he is here and how winning trophies is the most important thing to him. I know you take those kind of comments with a pinch of salt however with him it really does seem genuine.
