Don't understand the criticism...he was one of few running unti the last gasp. Very little he could do today considering the standard of most others around him. Wasn't great but does not deserve to be hounded.

After going down to 10 we were always chasing it. Barring a blatant hand ball he assists a goal.

That isn't enough . He is a footballer and supposedly our most creative . He gave the ball away so * much today , sick of seeing him hit it 5 yards too far infront of himself and getting tackled. Missed a golden chance aswell . He deserves the criticism.

I'm a big fan of him but one glaring weakness he seems to time and time again show is an inability to score 1 on 1 chances. He gets so many of them and always for some reason hits it off the keeper.

Should he score that chance we aren't even talking about the hand ball penalty claim.

That is an incredibly optimistic/generous way of describing missing a golden one on one chance.

I don't think he does. It wasn't an easy chance either, keeper right out at his feet, I doubt even Griffiths our supposed best finisher would tuck that away. He done exactly what you'd expect him to do in that situation. It wasn't as easy a chance as folk are making out.

Far to many * on here losing their marble. Let the red mist settle.

I agree there are a few rash words going about . But as for me , on the subject of Johansen , i have been criticising him for a few weeks now ( as this thread shows). Overrated.

He was trying to make up for the man down today and he was everywhere, fair play to him but some of his passes didnt play out like he would have hoped. We desperately need that creativity though

I don't think he is overrated either but fair enough. We are a worse team without him and I think it shows when he is below par, like today.

This thread has fluctuated time and time again.Go back to September and you will see some ridiculous comments. He was playing * at that time but people were calling for him to be sold and that he wasn't 'Celtic class' and so on.

Today is just another one of those days.

He worked hard, had the occasional bad first touch and pass, made one or two poor decisions but did ok overall. Singling him out for criticism makes no sense at all.

He's not overrated, on his game he's a fantastic player and as I've said before, extremely important. My vote for POTY.

However, I don't think he's good enough to be our biggest creative outlet. He's a hard grafter and is capable of some world class passes and scores goals, but he doesn't have that 'magic' about him. The Naka magic, or Lubo etc.

Said it in the other thread. He is burned out. All our games have taken their toll. Still he was nowhere near as bad as some people are making out
