Eh? I think you only recalling one bad game for Gordon speaks volumes.

I love Johanson but he had a couple of months where his form dipped earlier in the season. Gordon has had one bad game. All season. In all competitions.

 

Better to have players playing so well that people get carried away than to have a team of plods.

He is quality but

 

His touch lets him down , or he pushes the ball too far in front of himself fairly often , in routine build up/possesion.

 

He does do that occasionally and athough he scores a few, I'd like him to brush up on his finishing when 1 on 1..
No complaints though, he's been fantastic and I'm 100% convinced he'll improve those over the next year..

 

He does do that, I wouldn't say it happens so much that it was a feature of his play though.

Agree with McGuire on his finishing, he does tend to shoot straight at the keeper a lot.

 

He does that because he's trying to up the tempo and play at a pace that keeps us driving forward, he doesn't do it when he's further down the pitch and taking his time.

It's something I'm quite happy to let him do from time to time because 9 times out of 10 it's effective.

I'd agree with this generally.

 

Genuinely worried about losing him in the summer if a big bid comes in.

 

He's closing in on Van Dijk in terms of being the best player we have imo. Such a quality footballer, if we can keep the two of them, get Denayer back on loan and sign a proper striker, we could really make an impact in Europe next season I reckon.

I don't think he was poor, he just wasn't up to his high standards.

 

I honestly think he was quite poor . Played alot of misplaced passes , particularly in and around their area and particularly in the second half.

 

He did but he was trying to pull off that extra spark of creativity that we didn't have for an hour or so last night.

He also won the ball back more than any other player on the pitch last night. He was poor for him but he wasn't poor all round. Just hasn't been anywhere near what he has been this season.
