Looking at those posts from earlier in the season, I wonder if he should get POTY. He did start this year really slowly, hence all the criticism.

 

The most embarrassing part of that was you tried to be clever but I've just quoted you saying pretty much word for word the exact same thing within a couple of pages

From about October/November on though he has been, mostly, excellent. I don't think anyone comes close to him for POTY.

 

To be fair that is extremely harsh on Craig Gordon and Scott Brown.

Yep let's forget our captain * his self in our first pre season match and missed a couple months where we were all over the place, yet came back and was the captain fantastic of old. Yep let's forget Craig Gordon because he had one howler of a game against inter but was a main cause for us getting through the group, as well as consistently very good domestically..

Yep let's forget that as well as Johansen's dreadful start to the season and give it to Johansen, koke logic

 

It's not a dig at them at all.

Craig Gordon has been great but it's just simply because most of the time he doesn't have much to do. When we need him he's excellent but Johansen has been winning games.

Scott Brown has had a good season but I'm obviously in a minority because I don't think he's been a standout performer. Failing to understand why so many are putting him up there.

 

Everyone is very much entitled to their opinion however I am a firm believer that due to the fact Gordon has nothing to do for large periods makes his job harder as his concentration and reactions need to be there when he is called upon. Last night for example caught a couple of crosses and made two saves but the two saves he made were top drawer saves

 

Concentration is one of the rarest special qualities in a keeper.

 

Of course, concentration is vital.

As I said, he's been fantastic this season but I don't think he's been as important as Johansen. Particularly domestically.

I agree that it's harsh on Brown, but Brown is a bit of an "un-sung hero". Anyone that's seen us play without him knows how much we rely on everything he does.

 

Norwegian paper made an interesting point today. Every goal he'sscored in 2015 has been in the 2nd half - his fitness is getting results

 

guy is effective and has bundles of energy but still needs to tidy up his all round play if he is to really turn into a top player. Still too many lose touches in his game . Becoming a tad over rated on here .

 

I think we expect too much of our players at times.

He makes us tick up front and is involved in most of our good play in the final third of the pitch.

If he * up now and again it's only because he is trying to do something out of the ordinary and it's never going to come off all the time, he wouldn't be here otherwise.

He's a great player and a fantastic professional, and well deserving of POTY if he gets it.
