Different types of players.

I'd * love to have Ledley back.

 

They are nothing alike though, so don't see why they'd be compared.

Ledley was a Cambiasso style player and Johansen is like a Rakitic. One a more intelligent, defensive 'stable' player who was more a water carrier for the defensive side of the game and the other an all action, forward thinking attacking goal creating player.

Neither could play each others roles.

 

Different players and i rate them both they could play in the same side for sure. Gun to the head pick one, Ledley without hesitation

 

Great showing tonight. His energy levels are amazing, could run all day

They are in no way similar

 

He does that no.25 shirt justice.

The highest compliment I can pay him.

 

I'd 100% much rather Johansen than Ledley if I had to pick from the two.

Johansen is capable of that hollywood pass or really magic moment, Ledley was more basic and did what he had to.

 

As much as I really like Bitton, I'd kill to have Ledley playing next to Brown in this team.

 

Guy is * quality. £2m we paid? What a bargain.

What's more, he doesn't strike me as the kind of guy who's itching to leave for the glorious EPL.. He also doesn't strike me as the kind of player who will turn EPL clubs' heads.

 

Sexy.

And i love Bitton too.

 

I think Johansen will be with us for as long as Deila is in the job.

 

It's all very well saying he'll be here while Deila is here..

But if he continues to play the way he's playing.... the £££ will come in for him, and Mr Lawwell will be waving him goodbye... simple as that.

Wanyama, Forster and Hooper are our only recent big money departures and all 3 were clearly desperate to go to the PL.

Virgil will be next to go and he also wants to leave.

I genuinely don't think that we would let Johansen go for big money if he wanted to stay. Lawwell has always said that we have the funds to buy players for big money, it's the wages that hold us back. If he forces a player out for big money who would quite happily stay, he would be contradicting himself. The fans would be very quick to point that out to him and he'd be back to being public enemy number 1.

 

Class tonight, will be even better if we ever get to play on a decent pitch again .

if we get offered anything above 6 million for Johansen I can guarantee Lawwell would sell him.

 

You can critisize Peter for different reasons fair play, but he isn´t that stupid.

Can't believe that he hasn't even had a mention!

For me he combines the composure of Biton and the engine/determination of Brown fantastically. I think he is consistently one of our best performers these days.

He has been somewhat under the radar due to the arrival of Armstrong and GMS but the combination of the 3 has been great for us. Real potential.

 

Think he's been excellent for months but he was one of our only forward players who quite disappointed me tonight, he's usually far better on the ball. Obviously playing against better players he doesn't get as much time on the ball but thought he was quite poor, maybe I was expecting too much as I felt he was one of the players more equipped to make the step up.

No faulting his desire or his work rate though.

 

Thought he would of had a great game tonight on his current form. Was all nearly tonight and not his high standard of recent months..
