  1. Always liked this guy even when people got on his back

    He has some engine

  2. That good?

I've always found him a very competent midfielder, who excelled because of his physical capabilities.

Suppose we also have to factor in the point that he was playing against a Motherwell side that is all over the place at the moment.

  3. Aye he had plenty of time on the ball as they couldn't get a hold of him. I've always thought his vision was excellent but his passing could be erratic. Wasn't the case today.

  4. 'Right idea, wrong execution' kind of player a lot of the time, I agree. Hopefully he continues to make the most of the freedom he gets in this new role.

  5. Pressed the opposition CONSTANTLY, won tackles and interceptions everywhere. Assisted Stokesy, created loads of clear cut chances, was the architect of everything good in our play. Could have had about 5 assists, his decision making was spot on (bar one time where he should have slipped Scepovic in)

Dare I say it, he was reminiscent of Messi in the way everything creative was going through him

  6. Aimar, riquelme and last but not least, messi :56::56::56:

    * me:56:

  7. Messi cmon tae * :smiley-laughing002:

  8. Fell off the couch at that one, i'm out:56:

    Gaffs mental

  9. He reminded you of Rafael Scheidt ya dozy *, or was that your alter-ego?

Is he still 'utter pish' or is he good now because he played well today?

  10. Change the record Pauline, he didn't remind me, he was scheidt at the start of this season..

Played well, like Aimar/riquelme and messi today :56:

  11. He's somewhere inbetween Messi and pish

  12. Closer to pish than messi..

  13. There's only 2 Mcguire1's.

  14. He and 99% of current professional footballers.

  15. I've heard some comparisons in my time that forced a second glance but these 3 tonight really took the biscuit hammered :52::56:

  16. Too serious, doors that way>>>:bbpd:

  17. I stand by both my comparisons as that's the 2 players I thought of when he continually threaded the ball through the eye of a needle.

Your opinion matters not, we are all aware it could change next week if he misplaces 1 pass then change again in the same game if he scores. You are the ultimate fickle Forum fan.

  18. Not the worst thing anyone has said to me in 6+ years on the forum.

Riquelme was one of the best number 10's around and one of the best passers/threaders and Aimar at valencia was again one of the best 10's out there..
I won't even start on messi..

To say you have been blind for the first couple of months this season, would be an understatement, deluded even..
"he was no worse than any other player today" when the guy was having shockers ..

He's turned it around and fair * to him, he's been excellent but don't tell me i'm fickle for pulling him apart when his form deserved it and now he doesn't get it, why's that?

He's a good player , playing excellent for us but like Aimar and riquelme at there best, dreamer..

  19. You didn't slag his form though, you said he was a * footballer which you've since completely contradicted in recent games. That's 2 completely separate things.
