Stefan Johansen

Can't recall him being 'good' at any point this season tbh.

 

Why would he take off an energetic midfielder, and leave on one that predominantly plays in the oppositions half. We needed to add another player in the middle of the park, not make a like for like change. We had our backs to the wall, and they were controlling the game. Deila got the sub spot on for me.

 

Opinions are like arseholes mate, we all have one. Would be a boring forum if we all thought the same.

 

I think he does ok for us

I thought he'd become even better playing under Deila. Total opposite though, he's regressed massively. No longer the creative midfielder with an eye for a pass that he was last season, just a guy who runs about for 90 mins yet struggles to pass a simple 10 yarder.

I actually think he tires himself out too much, so often he makes brilliant lung busting runs through the middle only to completely make an * of his shot/final pass. He's an absolute work horse though.

 

He needs dropped.

Agree with that 100%. This year He's been like a younger Brown, running all over the shop desperate to impress but just needs to curtail himself a bit and be more disciplined.

We're not good enough to have 1 CM holding and 1 bombing up in Europe, we need him and Broony both marshalling together. I'd try Brown, Kayal & Johansen together away from home.

 

I wanted to jump through the telly when Broony was off getting strapped up and johansen went.pressing the right back and there was literally no one in the centre of the park..

Works his * off i can't deny that but he still isn't doing.enough to start, was slightly better tonight so the positive is he's improving however slight..

Been really poor last couple of months, I think he needs dropped for Kayal.

 

Wonder if he needs a rest. Really liked him last season but he's all over the * place.

Works hard but doesn't seem to have a brain and some of his passing is absolutely abysmal at times.

It's not just giving it away with his passing - most of the time they're underhit or hit behind the player which means we lose our momentum.

 

I actually feel sorry watching Johansen at the moment.
I really thought he was a cracking player in the last few months of last season BUT for whatever reason he's been absolutely shocking this season.
I'd put Kayal in for him now and give him a few games, IF anything it might give Johansen the kick up the * that he needs.

This is the type of attacking midfielder we should be going for. he was outstanding last night.
