Stefan Johansen

No idea whats happened to him since he cut his hair. On form he is a poor mans Rakatic.

 

He is having a poor season. In a bad run of form just now, not sure why but he looks a completely different player from last year. He's giving the ball away far too much and concedes a lot of fouls. Would drop him for a while and give Kayal or even Biton a run, don't think its gonna happen though as he seems to be Ronnys golden boy.

 

I've called what I've seen from this guy this season, and that's a really poor player who doesn't deserve a start in our 11..

That in turn provokes reaction from his believers that i have something against him, laughable really as i.have nothing but support for all our players but poor runs and players will be called out as i see it..

Kayal has done nothing to be dropped for this guy..

 

Wait, I must have missed something. Thought he was good tonight no? Brown breaks everything up but Johansen keeps our game ticking over. I also think he's one of the only players that tries what can be considered a creative pass from time to time. Put it on a plate a plate for McGregor who was let down by his control.

I said before, that he has a world class pass in his locker and a few people on here laughed at me (he'd just had a howler of a game). I wasn't trying to say he is world class, or his general passing is world class, but he definitely sees passes that none of our other midfield players do, and from time to time, can deliver a brilliant ball.

I understand this is useless given his current form, which hasn't been great. But I think if he can find some form he could be really useful.

 

Plays the odd floated 30/40 yarder and is anonymous..

Giving the ball away again tonight and is continually outshone by broony..

I've heard people say this guy is quality, excellent and every praise going..

I'm sorry I'm just not seeing it, he's supposed to.be playing this coming deep to get the ball playmaker but its just a whole lot a running about.

I have said the same about Johansen too, on current form he dozen't deserve to be ahead of either Kayal or Biton, but he appears to be Deila's blue eyed boy, and that is something I don't like, managers who have favorites always playing in the team despite their form. even Lenny was this way with Hooper, and Strachan always played Lennon no matter his form, I don't get it.

 

Guys pish I prefer Kayal than him.

 

I hope it's not a ronny favourite thing and rather seeing what he had in Norway though..

 

Has not impressed me at all this season, and was poor tonight again IMO.

Very lightweight and a very poor in the tackle, with 95 % of his passes going either sideways or backwards.

I still hope he turns out to be a player because he put in a few promising performances last season. I also think he would be much better suited to a midfield three rather than just the two.

 

He was quiet compared to the rest, wasnt bad but didnt have much influence in the game, ' keeping the game ticking over' is absolute tripe btw, people used to say that about ledley but he actually won tackles and was always linking up with others and picking forward passes and chipping in with goals, it was always noticeable when he or brown were out of the team, i doubt i could say the same about johanson. He had a pretty good first half season with us i thought but he's regressed rather than kick on.

 

Johansen has scored goals and gets involved in plenty of tackles too, just not quite as effectively as Ledley.

 

He is one of 2 players I feel uncomfortable with when he has the ball at his feet.

Far to sloppy.

 

Nowhere even close to ledley, and ledley didnt give away possession or get pushed of the ball anywhere near like johanson is doing regularly atm. Theres a good player there somehere like he showed last season but he seriously needs to buck up, kayals outperformed time and time again this season as has brown and hes only back from injury.

 

His natural game looks to be box to box, a lot of running, chasing etc which in a 2 man midfield just can't be done. He should sit back more and play calmer, picking and choosing his runs like he did last season but Ronny is probably telling him to play like that.

Kinda reminds me of Brown when Brown first signed and done the same, was all action running everywhere and fans criticised him.

 

Take away his running though, he dailies on the ball far too much and either gets caught or almost gets caught in the centre of the pitch all the time..
Happened in the centre tonight and he put us in trouble when Gordon bailed him out plus another couple of close calls..

That's a standard johansen game for me..

I feel like bubbling hearing medley likened to him..

 

Aye he has been poor this season, Kayal has outperformed him. Don't know why Kayal doesn't get any 90 minutes, he seems to either get subbed off or not get a game at all yet has been performing consistantly well, Ronny must think he's unfit or something.

 

I can't work it out either, saying that lenny was doing the same thing with Kayal in the end when he was playing well..

 

Aye was just thinking that after I replied that, that Lennon did the same. Maybe a bit of a * in the dressing room :smiley-laughing002:

He hasn't played 90 minutes this season, and only played 90 minutes twice last season, the 2nd last game of the season against St Johnstone and the first game of last season against Cliftonville.

 

Give him time. Don't be negative. Are you not Celtic supporters etc etc etc.
