He is suffering from playing alongside Mulgrew. We will see him back to his best when Brown returns. At the moment he is trying to do Mulgrews as well as his own running he is the only one of the middle three that go forward and shut down, 20 to 30 yard lung busters every couple of mins.

  2. Mulgrew is not causing him to pass to the other side is he? He is doing that all on his own.

It's not Mulgrews fault at all, he is just being found out.

Are you having a laugh about Mulgrew?? The point is he is doing so much work he is knackered and that is when his passing suffers.

Johansen is a very average footballer I personally don't think he is good enough to wear the Hoops, last night he was by far one of the worst players on the pitch his passing was awful.

  8. So he is knackered 10-15 mins into a game? Don't think so, we had Kayal playing last night who was doing the running as well.

He was utter * in the first half and he kept him on, as I said before it's not down to Mulgrew about his passing FFS.

On the ball Kayal was average off it he was static. I don't know if you were at the game or not but with your comments I tend to think you were watching on TV which does not give the real pattern of play or what happens off the ball.

  10. Kayal was average? Are you kidding me on? You must be at it.

Right so watching it on telly is not the same even thought you see it at every angle and the whole of the game play as well.

I don't think you need to be in the stands to see that Johansen put us in the * a good few times last night with passing the ball to the other side.

He was shocking and it had nothing to do with Mulgrew at all, Mulgrew never made him pass the ball to the other side countless times.

Like I said, he passed the ball to the other side early on in the game, he was not knackered, so you're theory is incorrect buddy.

Worked his socks off for the team last night, but was really really lacking in quality on the ball.

Johansen's distribution last night was poor, and as it progressed, his confidence took a tumble. Seems weird to me that since Deila came in, he's gone backwards - I expected him to come on even stronger playing in an accustomed fashion, with a manager he knows so well. If anything, he's gone backwards!

Need to pick it up over the next few weeks. I do begin - as I always tend to - to wonder what difference Brown makes not just himself, but to those around him.....

Brown is the key to his performances get the other two impostors away from the middle of the park. His dip in for coincides with Brown being out and the lack of mobility of the others. On the telly you don't see people working off the ball....agreed his passing was not the best but overall by no margin the worst. He must get credit for never hiding unlike a lot of others in that team. By your comments you would slate even Messi if he played for us if he have the ball away.

Kayal was by far the best performer of the midfield three last night, that restricted view must have hindered your eyesight.

I also recall him playing alongside Brown as we went down 2-1 at home to Aberdeen in the Scottish, so it can't solely be based on Brown being missing.

Yes, he works hard, all huff and puff, running around like a stolen motor, but I have yet to see him justify being described as this 'quality deep lying playmaker', 'Norwegian modric' etc.

He was poor in both the legs! Cleared the ball of the line with his face, missed a sitter after getting his feet tangled up also. Last night his passing was awful. He is too lightweight in midfield & is not good enough for Celtic in Europe.

to think this was prity much joe ledley's replacement.

  18. First off, Kayal was not an impostor so please take the Johansen tinted glasses off bud, second are you saying if we don't have brown in the side then Johansen is going to be *? What's the point in having him then?

His passing was dire, utter * last night, now I'm not saying others where not * but this is a Johansen thread, I've stated in ither threads hiw * players where last night.

He gave the ball away in dangerous situations you can't defend that at all, so I don't get what the Messi comment means??? Pointless.

  19. Aye but according to Big C it will Mulgrews fault again and Brown not playing for all that.
