  1. :icon_mrgreen:

Considering we'll want about £8million for him, whos going to sign him? only about half the teams in the Premiership can afford that but...

    Southampton - Boruc
    Everton - Howard
    Spurs - Lloris
    Arsenal - Szczezny
    Man U - De Gea
    Chelsea - Cech
    Newcastle - Krul
    Liverpool - Mignolet
    Man City - Hart

Any them going to really spend the money when they have decent keepers?

Only other options are maybe teams like Dortmund, Juventus(eventual Buffon replacement) or Atletico Madrid but how often do good foreign teams sign our players?

  2. I don't think that's quite how supply and demand work, though. If you are right, it doesn't mean he'll stay; it just means we'll get less money than we think he's worth.

  3. I could see forster going to an italian side like milan or inter.

  4. Or we don't accept any offers.

  5. Can we afford to do that? How long does he have left on his contract? I thought it was only two years.

  6. Think we have an option of taking up an extra year, so he signed a three year with an option of another year? He signed start of last season, so aye about.

  7. Inter won't go in for him (Handanovic and Bardi) but Milan is a possibility. Abbiati and Amelia aren't the best.

  8. Valdes leaving barca so that's a possibility, or Atletico when Courtais goes back to Chelsea.

  9. Anyway about Johansen, he looks a quality player. Comabtive, good on the ball with a good range of passing, great energy and quite quick. Good replacement for Ledley although probably wont score as much goals not seen him getting into the box so far.

  10. Johansen so far has looked more accomplished/more of an all rounded player than Ledley did. Better 'engine', quicker on and off the ball, likes a tackle more, ambitious with passes compared to Ledley, better football brain.

  11. Makes him sound tremendous but Ledley was better at keeping possession, better defensively, scored and created more goals.

Ledley got 5 goals and 7 assists this season in 29 games. Averaging a goal or assist every 2.4 games. Johansen has neither an assist or goal in 8 games.

  12. Johansson is not even in the same league as Ledley. Maybe in six months or so, we'll see. I doubt it. I'm hoping he'll become more of a specialist player that can do a job for us.

  13. He has more technical ability than Ledley.

  14. Technique does not guarantee you'll be a good Celtic player. Take Ki, for example.

  15. ledley was so over rated it was embarrassing , he couldnt use his right foot for *

  16. In the mid season friendly against Barca ( 6-1 ) our midfield was considerably weakened by the un availability of Brown and Biton .

  17. Some of the best footballers in the world and history were/ are extremely one sided, doesn't mean * all.

  18. In the mid season friendly against Barca ( 6-1 ) our midfield was considerably weakened by the un availability of Brown and Biton .
If we are competitive against the less than top teams in Europe , we shouldn't have to worry to much about the top teams just yet .

Messi very rarely does either, is he overrated also?

Not that I am comparing the two by the way.

  19. Yous cant say that Johansen is better than Ledley from the little that we've seen of him so far. Joe scored important goals for us in important games i.e a couple against the scummery and Montpellier in Europe. Im not saying Johansen wont prove to be as good as Joe Ledley but why are we trying to judge right now if he is a better player than Ledley?
