Glad to hear he is now moving on. Had one good season but he was utter * last season and he is the type of player Rodgers wants.

Half a good season playing out of his skin and the rest he's been rotten.

    Time to go.

Hope this means we're getting someone in.

Of course you never know what's going on with a player off the park, we can only guess at those things.

I can't think it was a lack of confidence, that would generally cause a short term dip in form but Johansen looked out of sorts for a long time.

Lack of enjoyment? Could be part of it. He did seem to be enjoying his football more when he first arrived. But did he lose the enjoyment because he was struggling or was he struggling because he lost the enjoyment? Chicken and egg.

His personal life I have no idea about.

I find it a bit disappointing that things have ended this way with Johansen. I was really quite optimistic about him for a while, and he was superb in Ronny's first season here. Now he will be leaving through the side door with little fanfare and a lot of people glad to see the back of him. It's just unusual to see a player go so quickly from being a mainstay of the team to out the door.

Good player but needed moved on. Smells a bit like got in the champions league so making space for a cracker of a signing. I like it.

BR on @stefanjohansen: "Stefan is in the last year of his contract. Found him a good guy.

BR: "It’s been difficult as he’s been unable to reach an agreement with the club.

BR: "Opportunity has come for him and it’s one that works well for both.

BR: "Not complete yet but could happen in the next few days.

If the 2 million fee is correct then that is very good business. There must be 2-3 signings on the way for us now though with the money we have been bringing in. Deadline day should be good fun hopefully for once.

Decent move for him, happy that he is leaving, hopefully a few more to follow.Going by the official website we have 14 midfielders, with Stefan going we are at 13,would loan Armstrong out to an English Champs side, think he would do well(guys like Bryson and Murphy are stars in that league) we could potentially make a profit on him, same with GMS

His form deserted him but he never hid and always put in a shift. I respect him for that. Best of luck to him. 2M with his contract coming to an end is good business too.

  17. Johansen must have asked for reassurances that he would be a first team pick and he got no such reassurances from the manager.
Johansen was one of those players who hardly celebrated when he scored a goal for the club, the Celtic fans always view those kind of players with suspicion. Never taken too by the support and I think the feeling was mutual.

I can never get the rumours about him always being out drinking on Bath Street out of my head. Would definitely impact on form.

Good it was time for him to go, we need to be lookin at better players than him especially now we have some money.

    Efe
    Boyata
    GMS
    Armstrong

I would get rid of all these as well.
