How the * did this guy get on the field?

Can add this decision to my fledgling list of Brendan Rodgers' head scratchers.

Dunno how you can call him a shitebag? He got involved in the game and tried yo ruffle their feathers when he came on.

Wasn't a great performance from him, but I saw effort.

Same. I thought he did better than expected. He's a bit like Lustig in that he seems to need more games than most to get fully match fit and like Broony in the sense that his whole game requires that. He always has a poor game when he isn't. With that in mind he did better than I expected TBH.

Absolutely guff. Both him and Armstrong are nowhere near good enough to play for us.

Its a shame because i was really excited about Armstrong signing at the time. Both of these guys seem to have lost both confidence and ability

I don't think he had a great game when he came on, but he definitely didn't "hide" or anything like that.

He wasn't really THAT effective, but the through-ball he put on a plate for Griffiths (the one the defender made an excellent tackle) was sublime.

I'm interested to see how a fully-fit and in-form Johansen will do under Rodgers.

I don't know in all honesty.

Look at Scott Allan. He has only featured fleetingly in pre-season thus far, and he was apparently wanted by Rodgers............now he's off to Rotherham.

Johansen was picked to come last night over Rogic - who has shown glimpses of excellence in pre-season. Rodgers obviously sees something he admires in Johansen, or he wouldn't have thrown him on in such a high-risk game.

    Time will tell.

I don't get the persistent haranguing of Johansen and other players. It's a new season and under a different manager. For me anyway, every player is on a new start.

Yes and Johansen , Forrest , Armstrong and Efe look exactly the same as they were last year. New manager should give every player a boost. Some and we have a few just aren't very good or just don't want to really be here.

So devised of 60 minutes of meaningful football and off the back of missing 3 weeks of football, you have deemed Rodgers hasn't had an influence on Johansen and he won't improve on last season???

Hold the bus! How much playing time has Johansen actually had this season thus far? :97:

he committed a foul before he touched the ball when he came on, then proceeded to get booked, then i watched him from behind my hands when he attempted a tackle for the fear of a red card, some were there is a player in there but he might not find that form again here.

    Too much

Edit : ye've backed me into a corner. I don't like the guy. Fake hard man, sneaky kicks, fake effort, running when he knows he's no chance of making the tackle etc. Attitude appears poor, don't think he wants to be here. Haven't disliked a Celtic player since Kenny Miller :smiley-laughing002:

Pure * last season but think he's being criticised unfairly for his performance last night.
I thought he did ok. Great ball through for griffiths who should have scored.
Offered much more than Armstrong and mcgregor imo.

For those who are in love.....
Was anonymous for quite a bit last night, but I thought he was decent. Petty foul straight away with the 2 hand's, then a couple more....... But was a good outlet breaking beyond in that second half down the right, when we needed it, and put Griff through on a plate..

Picked him for my team Sunday, if Bitton is out. He's a better player than Armstrong, easily..

Was clearly not sharp or fit enough, played in a couple of cracking balls but then went back to his usual running about like a dafty. Did link up quite well with Janko at times.

I actually thought he done ok on Wednesday. Played a very good ball through to Griffiths at the start of the second half when he should have been putting the game to bed. It wouldn't be hard, but it was one of his better performances over the past year.
