Stefan Johansen

Creative mid they said. Most times is taken ball from Cb's at the defensive mid position. Looks like another defensive possession type player ! Boring

 

I'm not going to slaughter him as it's only his second game, but he was poor today. He was bullied throughout by Robson, who was MOTM by a mile. We missed Joe Ledley badly today. I know we have to look forward, but that is how I felt today.

 

Looked good in the last game, early days, but did have a bad day at the office and did cause the 2nd goal unfortunately.

Hoping he's a good one.

 

I thought he came in as a creative midfielder. Against Aberdeen he looked like another defensive pass sideways midfielder.

 

My initial feeling is Johansen is more suited to a three man central midfield, where he could be the creative spark we need to get things going.Played alongside either Brown or Kayal, or alternatively Biton in a three man central midfield, Johansen would fit right in, but he needs to continue to work at his game.

 

not going to give the guy a hard time as we were over run and out played by aberdeen.

how the manager never changed the formation or hooked samaras and forrest early doors i dont know

but we were getting a hard time of it in midfield and we had passengers in the team aswell as unfit fullback

 

Quality player, some engine on him and quality and intelligence on the ball.

 

Hes going to be brilliant once he has a preseason under his belt. Really like him and Biton in midfield.

Fantastic today.

Going to be a cracking player for us. Ledley has some engine on him but Stefan works even harder.

 

We have to keep the three man midfield. It works best for Biton and Johansen and (I think) will end up being better for Brown as well once he adjusts.

 

I like this guys energy and enthusiasm. He really gets tore in. Its like having Ki and Kayal in the one player.

 

In 2/3 games Johansson has put in the same level of work and performance as Ledley did in his 'please someone sign me' final performance.

 

Looks the part,didnt think he was as quick as that,got stuck in today!

I was very impressed by the Norwegian today. Worked very hard and broke up a lot of Saints play in the middle of the park

 

Johansson was great today, but please stop talking *.

 

For the record - Johansson is an Icelandic winger playing for AZ Alkmaar. Johannsson is an Icelandic-American striker playing for AZ Alkmaar. Johansen is a Norwegian central midfielder playing for Celtic.

Sorry for the pedantry. :icon_mrgreen: Big Johan must have fairly gotten around though.

 

I'm not slating Johansen; I'm praising him.

Johansen is quicker to type as well, that's part of the frustration.
