I think Bitton can still add alot and I'm hopeful Brown can recapture his form. But Johansen has been gash for ages now. McGregor and Rogic are both better players
I actually agree with this :50:

I like McGregor but he, 100%, is not a better player than Stefan Johansen.

One of Norway's best players versus a guy that can't get in a * Scotland squad never mind team.

McGregor was by far the better player last season. You keep going on about how good Johansen is but he's not shown it since about April of 2015.

He has a year left on his contract and obviously doesn't want to sign a new one. * him.

Excellent business getting just over 2mil back for him considering how bad he was last season.

More money in the pot for new and better additions to the squad.

Put it towards getting Sinclair and then that's the attack sorted.

I don't give a * who was better last season, I care about who is the better player for Celtic.

I think McGregor is a very good player, Johansen is leagues and leagues above him. Noted by the fact I've just pointed out regarding national teams and also who is after Johansen. Would Galatasaray or clubs of that ilk be after McGregor?

I think the point is. Who's been the better player in a Celtic shirt. I'd say Callum.

Their overall Celtic career or an isolated season?

If it's in general then it's Johansen, by far. The POTY season before last, McGregor hasn't put a sustained season like that in to date.

McGregor at this point in time is the better player. Johansen had a great 3 or 4 month spell a year and a half ago. Before that, and since then, he's been average to pish.

Hence why he was being, albeit harshly, booed and targeted by some of the support last season.

Johansen has more in his locker when he's at his best, but in 2 and a half years here, he's been at his best for a few months.

No, he isn't. As I've just articulated with 2 undeniable points.

€2.5m deal agreed with Galatasaray between them and the club, according to that VideoCelts page.

2 undeniable points that have no relevance as to who should be playing in midfield for Celtic right now. Johansen has done * all in over a year. McGregor was one of our better players last season when he got a run of games, chipping in with a few goals as well.

You say McGregor hasn't had a sustained season like Johansen. Johansen, when he won POTY, didn't have a great season from start to finish. He was decidedly average up until the turn of the year, and a lot of people actually wanted him dropped. Then he had a purple patch until around April/May before dropping off again and playing *.

And actually plenty of people thought Johansen shouldn't have won POTY, and to be fair they were probably right. Virgil, Denayer and Brown all had a far more consistent season.

I see where your coming from but Callum is still younger plus he was our best player in the CL quals when Ronnie first came in. He fell away but he's come back and done well. Better than Stefan, who, by comparison, comes across as a primadonna.
