Tbh don't know whether express is a credible source or not.I'm assuming they wouldn't be writing on a subject if they were not somewhat informed.

 

I think the express are probably the worst for news on here all things considered.

I've seen a lot of their articles pop on here recently and it all looks like made up pish.

 

Maybe he sees the competition for midfield places and reckons he has better chances of playing regularly elsewhere..

i would tend to agree with his thinking if that is the case.. he can play but tends to charge in to tackles and gets booked a lot.

If he wants to go then i'd understand and wish him well, if he wants to stay i'm sure he will get a chance to prove himself.

So he has 4 years contract ahead of him. Depending on what we paid him in his new contract might mean a SILLY bid, same as Van Dijk, Forster and Wanyama comes in, we almost certainly will sell. But I would hope a replacement is already in place...

 

Only difference is those players you mentioned there we were all desperate to hold on too and just couldn't afford to keep. Bitton in my opinion might get us similar return but we shouldn't be nearly as keen to hold on to him as we were previously. No matter how lethargic our seasons got, Hooper, Van Dijk, Forster, and Wanyama always gave everything and played to their potential. Can't help but feel like Bitton got his contract and walked the rest of the season while his grease-ball agent talked him up in the press. Good footballer on his day and has good quality but I'm not his biggest fan and would be fine with grabbing £7-8 million for him. Thats still a massive coup for us.

 

Evening Times saying Galatasaray have offered £3M for Johansen.

I think Rodgers could replace him with better for that kind of money.
