Nobody would pay 4 million for him . We might get a couple of mill from a championship club .

It all depends on how he responds to not being the favoured child/first pick  He was too cosy with Ronny.

Id like to see him given another shot but only if the back injury is legit and he can recover from it over the summer

I just dont see him getting back to 2014/15 form. His finishing was decent and his passing was unreal. Last season he couldn't get a sniff at goal and his passing was all over the place. Never seemed to be positioned right, very rarely linked up the play, and he never had the pace or athleticism to begin with so he never had much positive impact. He had such a fall off from what he gave us a few seasons ago. Don't think I can remember a player in recent memory who was so good then so bad, without any real positives to take from it after 2 seasons. If we could get 2-2.5 million this summer I'd be happy. I just can't see him getting back to the player he was, at least I can't see him doing that at Celtic.

His passing was OK. Some games better than others. It was his running in behind and pressing of the opposition that made him POTY that season.

He's not done it since then and has shown he's a decent, average footballer.

Yeah, his passing was always hit and miss. Capable of some stunning passes, but regularly gave it away cheaply.

My first instinct with him was that he wasn't as intelligent as Ledley, but was much more dynamic and maybe capable of scoring the type of goals Ledley did.
His POTY season surprised me, but didn't change my opinion of him all that much. I just thought he had a real purple patch.

Think if we can get him to keep his passing simple, cut out the daft fouls and focus on making runs in behind we'll have a decent player. Asking him to be a midfield hardman or a No. 10 isn't going to work for us.

People with vision that try and play the World Cup pass will always have poorer passing stats. Allan would be the same just without the graft that Johansen puts in.

I still rate him very highly, when he's at it (which admittedly wasn't often last Season) I think he is a brilliant player. A perfect fit in a 3 man central midfield as 1 of the 2 in front.

Best to let him go this summer as it appears his heart is not in it anymore.

Get some money in from selling Johansen and it would open the door for Scott Allan to be able to fit into a three man Rodger's midfield.

I agree with this but at the same time I wouldn't be too displeased to see him go now.

Problem with Johansen passing is that it's not just a case of trying too many difficult passes. He has some right howlers too.

Aye that's it. He makes an * of simple passes too often.

That's why even when he was playing behind the striker he never looked like a playmaker. He's not polished, so to speak, enough to be regarded as that.

Off form for too long, looks like he wants and play's like a guy who is disinterested, hence the ridiculous rise in petulance . I wouldn't be crying in to my pillow if he left, although I do think he's a very decent player who would do well elsewhere moving forward..

I disagree in regards to him being too comfortable with Ronny. People always seem to overplay their relationship as if Ronny brought him here. I think that he suited Ronny's style but the main reason he always got a game was because he was ours and Norway's player of the year. He's just lost form. Same with Brown, Bitton etc.

I'm amazed he got the tag "Norwegian Pirlo". He's the complete opposite of Pirlo :smiley-laughing002:
