Youre acting like he's never played well before though, decent contributor of goals and assists from midfield and decent player for counter attacking in Europe as well.

Has good dig and good energy and can be effective in a high pressing system but he can't be relied upon to be our main playmaker, lacks the guile and consistency to be that player for us . His use of the ball lets him down .

Johansen is pish. Gets found out against any half decent side. The most overrated player in a Celtic jersey.

I find it funny how people always refer to his good season yet slate izzy, who also had a tremendous season but has been rank rotton ever since.

I've been a huge critic of his this season and deservedly so but i thought today was his best performance of the season. Nothing flashy just a solid determined performance which i feel he needed to get under his belt! great little through ball for griff in the 1st half wich i still cannot believe he contrived to miss!! more of the same Stef!!!

Looks like the criticism is affecting him.

Needs a rest.. Ronny must see that.

whatever is said about Johansen, the guy is never a playmaker in a million years!! lacks the quality of pass and control of the ball but that isnt to say he cannot be effective in another capacity.

That was actually only three good months (Jan , Feb , March , early April ) . Was utter guff post split that year ( everybody blamed tiredness iirc ) and even worse before christmas. He has had three good months out of 30 since he arrived .

He put 3 players through one on one today let he lacks quality of a final ball? Blinkered *.

How can people forget his performances of last season? I feel confident when he play's, an international player rather than starting with a front three of GMS, Mcgregor and Armstrong is a breath of fresh air to have a player of Johansens quality in there.

He's not been at this best this season, but in the last few months his form has been picking up yet he still gets hit with the same pish which is clearly a result of his relationship with Ronny, 'Love child' n aw that patter its unreal the agenda against him and how much stick he's been given lets forget he was by far our best player last season and judge him on the first few months of this season when everyone was *.

He's just back in the team. He doesn't actually play every game you know.

3 absolute beauties. Not all come off but if Gms score's 2 like he should, as well as Griffiths, then the place would be raving about him today..

I've been harsh on him before but his vision was really good today and his other decision making a touch off. 3 a game isn't bad is it?

Some lung bursting runs and that tenacity that's been missing. Definitely signs of his poty form..

    Yes, thank you caller.

My point is he is a confidence player and we have a big enough squad to give him a proper rest.

I think that for some, it doesn't matter what he does from here on in. Plenty have made their mind up about him now.

I still like him. He's certainly not 'pish'.

He's seen as Ronny's pet which gets people's backs up. Thought he was much better yesterday. More effective in the advanced role for us but I think we have better players than him for that position & I can't see him pushing out Brown & Bitton for the deeper roles. He should be used as a back-up but suspect he will be shoe-horned in to the starting 11 which will continue the negativity around him.

Ronnie wouldn't get so much hard a time if he left his favourite out the team for a while and played Allen or Christie to see what they can do . But he keeps his favourite in the side when he's been a empty jersey most of the season.

He had a better game this weekend playing further up the field. He's never a defensive midfielder.

I doubt anyone would say he doesn't have the ability to be good, last season would veto any claims of that nature.

He is however badly out-of-form and his attitude at times is dreadful - petty fouls, trying the hollywood pass when there's 2/3 simple passes on.

Regardless of how he plays, he for the most part, starts the next game. Which can't be said for others in the squad. Which is probably why he's more of a target.

On current form I'd have a few in ahead of him in the no.10 role and for me he's never a DM in a million years.

He's not on form at the moment but he still contributes in the last third. Taking yesterday for example his interception and pass to GMS through on goal was brilliant as wall his pass to put Griffiths through when he hit the post. Needs to be more consistent if he wants to keep his place though and keep that up the whole 90 minutes
