Commons does not score goals nor is he more creative....in Europe.

You've picked up on me saying he's done more, maybe he has and maybe he hasn't that's based on perspective. He is a better European footballer than Kris Commons, pure and simple.

That's a matter of opinion, I think Commons is a more dangerous goal threat.

What isn't an opinion is Commons has done more in Europe than Johansen, he got to the last 16 of the Champions League. Johansen hasn't played in the Champions League.

Regardless if I agree with your opinion that Johansen is a better European footballer because I do think that. The only aspect I picked out in that original post was you saying he's done more for Celtic in Europe.

Regardless, I hope both start, there's no need to pit them against each other when they compliment each other very well in that attackinf midfield role.

The real question for me is who gets the last space out of Armstrong, GMS and Forrest.

None of them have been very good, but after last night I think Forrest is in pole position.

    Celtic in Europe;

    Commons - 34 appearance 6 goals (1 in 5.7)
    Johansen - 15 games 5 goals (1 in 3)

He isn't a more dangerous goal threat.

If he plays as he did last night on the weekend I'd have Forrest there.

Can you break that down to goals in the qualifiers? As that's the competition we're in just now.

Don't think you can lump qualifiers, Europa and Champions League into the one heading.

It's not just all goals either, it's the all round play I'm on about.

    Happily, both can play.

    Forrest Johansen Commons
    ..........Ciftci/Griff

Is probably our best bet for Wednesday. GMS, Armstrong and possibly Griffiths would be an absolute nightmare for Malmo off the bench.

When 3 players aren't performing. And one starts to show a little bit of form. Who do you play?!

I said starts to show a little bit of form. Mackay-Steven has done nothing the last few times he's played. Armstrong is a square peg in a round hole out there. If forrest plays well in Saturday then he's a shoe in

2 goals set up, he's been the difference so far. Needs to take the ball in more in the middle of the pitch for me now, we're being pushed wide because there is nobody doing so.

Looses the ball way too often when countering.

He was awful tonight, again. Mental to think how many goals/assists he has this season.

Hasn't put in a good display yet.
