I disagree. Think Bajcetic has far more ability and potential. Morton has 2 top flight appearances and is 22 years old. Bajcetic has 38 at 20.

 

Will he withstand the physical demands of the SPL? And as I’d previously mentioned, the plastic pitches are a big factor.

Just check comments on twitter mate. All saying his career has been derailed due to injury. Not seen one that compared him to Gerrard.

 

I don’t think he would, he had loads of promise coming through the academy at Liverpool but hasn’t developed to what they thought he would.

 

You can disagree all you want but the fact remains Morton has played 87 times in the championship in the last two season and was really good in both loans.

Bajcetic has played 23 times in the last two seasons and was disappointing in both loans and had injuries.


You can try and dress it up with saying top flight appearances over 3/4 seasons but the facts are there to see he’s not progressed and his development has stalled while Morton has got better and just won’t be able to displace who they already have.

Bajcetic is nowhere near that First team at all.

 

It comes down to it being an option or mandatory

Loan to buy is a no brainer. You assess his ability to stay fit without the risk. Let’s face it, if it wasn’t for his injury issues he wouldn’t even be a possibility.

That would be the case but at the moment there is nothing to suggest there is a loan to buy yet either.

So only time till tell.

 

He’s certainly not turned into the next Gerrard since that was wrote.
