Im feeling nervous. This is definitely a potential banana skin for us, if the team dont perform to the maximum of their abilities then it will be tricky, St Mirren will be right up for this one. Dropping Stokes doesnt really help, seems like a crazy decision.

Same, St Mirren are a team of good tims though so hopefully they dont turn up and let us steamroll them like the huns V Motherwell :celt_2:

St midden will play 5 in the middle, so looking at the team Lenny is putting he is matching it, Hoops up front, Sammy and Forrest wide

Good line up, still a very strong team imo.

We need a little squad rotation, to be honest....

    Agreed. Dropping Stokes is madness.

He's picked the team due to the opposition.

Ki plays because St. Mirren actually try to play football so the game should suit Ki.

Stokes is dropped because theoretically pace should be St. Mirren's biggest worry due to them being an attacking team, that also explains why Cha has been brought in. Don't forget that Stokes has been poor for the last few games that he's played in although I don't think that's why he's been benched.

I think with Izaguirre, it's just all been a bit much for him, he looked * last week in the second half so he's just protecting Izaguirre.

Whether Lennon is right in his team selection is another matter, we shall soon see I suppose, but I can see why he's picked that team.

If the team is picked for the opposition then why is Sammy playing?

Samaras rarely turns up on away ground, especially a tight ground like St Midden. He wont get any space to run and will be surrounded every time he gets the ball.

See Izzy and Matthews are on the bench. Must not be 100% which is a gutter.
Good to see Forrest back in the team though.
Could be a tight game today. Hopefully get a quick goal or 2.

St. Mirren are an attacking team, so there should be space for Sammy. Whether St. Mirren actually attack us remains to be seen, they done it at Celtic Park and got hammered so they might change their approach today due to that. We'll soon see.

Sammy has also been in decent form so there wasn't really any need to drop him.

    This.

Can see the point of easing Izzy back in and Matthews wasn't great last week so might be carrying a knock, but to leave Stokes out is * ridiculous.

    :56::56: Funny cos its true...

Odd team today - I can only assume we have a few knocks. Hope Izzy hasnt had a set back as it seems odd that he isnt playing. Still the team we have out should be more than good enough to beat St Mirren as long as they play to their best.

Tricky game today. Hopefully we can finish it when we get the chances so we dont have to endure a nervy last 15 minutes as we often do.

Lenny saying Izzy is still a bit short of full fitness so that is why he is being rested.

My main problem is dropping stokes, away from home i feel hes our best chance of getting goals, hooper plays better with stokes beside him.
