If McManus stopped the attacker fairly we'd be saying great tackle. Obviously we would, but fact is he didn't stop the attacker fairly.

I'm not talking about his tackle** which gave away the penalty. I'm talking about him lunging in the first time and getting skinned. He should have backed off IMO.

I think that Stephen McManus is the worst celtic captain of all time. No leadership and can't read a game for *. Time he was dropped.

 

It was shocking from Nakamura to lose possession, but I'm positive he was in the opposition half when it happened ffs. You can't blame him for it, there were enough people back that should have been able to deal with it.

Why did McManus jump in only to be skinned? Surely back off and try and move the striker out wide and allow more to get back into defence?

 

well im gonna back up dempsey on that one...its a cup game a one off match,a different game altogether.
