Aye he gets brushed off way too easily, far too often..

He's been poor this pre season. No impressed..

As for tonight though. An excellent performance. So many positives. Thoroughly enjoyed it and much needed confidence booster..

celtic need to get him a bird so he can relax and concentrate on his football cause its been * for far too long

 

Exactly what I saw. Constantly looking for the ball and to get involved.

 

Some real bright spots tonight
Our work rate and closing down superb, everyone pushing hard for a place in the team.

Impressive - Inamura, Kenny, Trusty, Hattate, McCowan and Nygren
A Lot of work to do - Idah and Engels
Rusty but fine - KT, Scales, Calmac, Forrest

 

Engels will come good. He's still young.

 

Great result and performance (from the little I saw)

 

Lovely stuff, enjoyed that a lot. Some cracking football, good shape, fast going forward at times.

Some younger guys showing up a lot better especially Dane Murray. Hopefully a lot less panic on here as the games roll on and the squad is strengthened.

 

Never get carried away with results in preseason either if they're against us or for us, but very positive showing tonight, some really good play out from the back especially.

Most important thing in these games is to continually developing sharpness and a good workout with no injuries, so a good night all in all.

 

I like him. Seen plenty of quality but he needs a shake so far..

 

Only seen the second half. Nygren looks a real find. Very intelligent player. Inamura looks good imo. Very composed,crisp passer and mobile as well. All about getting fitness though.

 

Really good showing against tough opposition.

Reo, Scales, Nygren, Kenny, McCowan all superb.

Maeda looking sharp and showed a few good touches.
Cal his usual self.

Special mention for Murray who did well in there, played some nice passes out of defence.

A few good signings away from potentially making a really good team.

 

I don't want to get carried away but i think we might win the CL

Strong performance. Luke McCowan is looking very confident at Celtic now and is showing how good a player he is. Great signing.

 

yeah but given time he could prove to be the player that we expect him to be.

 

That was a lot better in you could actually see our shape and what we were trying to do. A couple of top wingers in changes this side into more like the standard at the start of last year.

Murray’s distribution from the back was very good and it was the first time I have seen him really show that compared to the other games.

Donovan done well playing out of position to match Harder a couple of times as he is a powerful unit. If he could fill out he could be a good option for right back at least. I would still like to see him out playing but I think he could definitely compete for a full back slot at a Scottish Premiership club.

Ure looked very good on the ball, the few times I have seen the B team he is very much there McGregor, that is always showing and connecting things up. Again hopefully get him out playing Premiership football this season.

Idah was pretty poor unfortunately so much so an honest performance from Kenny totally showed him up with good work rate and desire.

Midfield options all looked pretty good. Engels was a bit mixed bag but he done some really good things and was just a bit careless at times in gifting possession away needlessly. If he could cut that out he would really kick on. The tackle on the edge of our box that set us away for the second goal and that cross field ball to Tilio near the end was class.

The wings though are the standout none of the four playing tonight had a good game. If Yamada is our lot up top keen to see what he can do and see more of Maeda down the middle.

 

He is a lost cause and on a one man mission

He really does. I didn’t think he looked up to much vs Estrella and not a huge impact on the game tonight but to be fair didn’t have a great amount of time.

I think he needs to find his place in the side because I’m not sure we miss him when he doesn’t play.

 

You missed Engels. So fecking mediocre
