Possibly, but I'd be surprised if that was the case.

Anno I hate that mate, when EPL teams that have no history and done nothing think they're a bigger club than us, just because they have more TV income and play in a bigger league.

Only Man United and Liverpool could really argue they are as big as us.

I know it is unlikely to be the case, but cos there is nothing in the paper, or on forums about the guy being linked to somewhere else, does not mean there was no interest from other clubs.

Is this a loan or permanent deal? If given the chance he'll score goals. Having watched City for a few seasons, with a run in the team he should prove to be a better signing than Samaras, who was absolute rubbish at Eastlands.

Roy Evans (Wales assistant manager and former Liverpol boss) on Ched Evans

Former Liverpool manager Roy Evans, part of John Toshack's coaching set-up, told the Glasgow Evening Times: "Celtic could be fantastic for Ched if he chooses that.

"He's got the hardest shot I've ever seen and that's saying something.

"He's powerful and has good pace, but the thing we all noticed about him when we watched him for the first time was how hard he hits the ball.

"It's incredible and he loves to shoot on sight."

Lennon said today in the tabloids that he would be an exception to the young talent coming in that he would be considered for a first team place right away.

We could do with a striker who can shoot outside the box.

We could do with one who can shoot inside too.

Better than the sale of a certain Henrik Larsson from Feyenoord to Celtic?
