Probably another one that will more likely be a summer signing, needs to be at the start of the summer though. Winter transfers always going to pay inflated prices, either take the hit or have alternatives.

Seems odd, we bid for him, get rejected seem to have neither made a second bid, or tried to get an alternative

The fee they're asking for won't be any less in summer considering they'll be halfway their season.

He'll cost more and likely be way more competition. Can't see it..

Funny thing is, the quotes from his club were that they were ready to buckle at another offer..

    Tells it's own story..

Lille never went back in with another bid either by the sounds of it.

They also know we are desperate as well, once again we put all our eggs in one basket though. Months of planning as well apparently…. We really need to revamp our recruitment.

Celtic target Sondre Orjasaeter has revealed he was so certain a move to Parkhead would happen in January, he carried his passport everywhere with him.

But he insists he's relieved the big money move collapsed because he reckons he wasn't ready for a transfer at the age of 21.

The Norwegian wonderkid was linked with a move to Celtic in the last transfer window, but his club, Sarpsborg, reportedly put a £7 million price tag on their top prospect and the interest from the Scottish champions cooled.

And Orjasaeter has stressed he is in no rush to leave his homeland after admitting he's not your typical young player.

He said: "They were pretty brutal days for me in January. I struggled to sleep.

"I didn't know if I was going to be in Norway or not. I could have moved at any moment. I had to carry my passport with me everywhere.

"When the window closed, I felt a sense of relief. I came to the conclusion that I was determined to stay in Sarpsborg and play here, because I didn't know if I was ready to leave yet.

"Going abroad now is another level up. It had become more professional and everything. There were many thoughts going through my head during that period.

"If I get a little more time in Sarpsborg, I think I'll mature and be ready for it eventually.

"Of course, you will have a better life after your career if you have more money in your account, but you only live once. For me, it is just as important to have fun along the way. It is probably even more important

"I have a lot of friends to keep me grounded. I think if I only had football, my head would explode!

I'm not much of a fan of football, but I love having it as a job. I couldn't have a better job than what I have.

"But when I see that my friends are going on holiday or to ski at Easter, I get jealous. I'm not going to lie.

"I hope that those clubs understand that not everyone can be the same. At the same time, I have my serious side too. And I think that kind of thing comes a little with age."

This is the guy I really want in the summer.

I just have a gut feeling he'd be class for us.

Him & a striker is ideal. Not one or the other.

Don't see it happening though, when ever are we linked with a player, fail to get them and then go back for them then next window. Our scouting seems too erratic for that

I feel we spend the next 2/3 windows also failing to sign them when it’s well publicised, like Kvistgardeen, think that was 3 windows now.

Weirdly, ones that aren’t wee publicised and it comes out after we go back for them and sign them seem to be a thing. Moritz Jens was one, can’t think of another tbf but I’ve always thought thats what we do from WGS days.
