well that was more of the point i was trying to make that a little more respect should be shown. Just because the guy makes comments that ppl dnt agree with seems to make all respect that some ppl have for him dissappear :icon_mrgreen:

 

I think Hartson talks * at times. I also think he is one of the best players I have seen in a Celtic jersey and wished him well during his fight against cancer.

I would be happy with him, plenty of experience, could also give the younger guys rogne and thompson a push in right direction, would take him on a free anyday

 

You have some nerve calling Celtic fans hypocrites. People can disagree with a media pundits opinion if they like and they can also wish a man good luck if he has cancer. I dont think you know what a hupocrite is. And for the record i wished BBJ well and i always will and i didnt slag him off. I think your comment is out of order.

 

BBJ does talk complete * at times in the papers get used to it! He has to to sell papers. On the topic of Campbell id take him in a flash. He has done reasonably well against torres, drogba, Rooney, as well as in the champions league.

What more do you want in a CB as celtic can't afford someone of his ilk at 23 cos hed cost 30 mill. He is experienced, he is a leader and on a pay as you play basis for 2 years you cant go wrong on a free transfer.

Looking at the results i can see that chelsea beat arsenal 2-0 will drogba scoring the goals so i concede that one, yet arsenal beat liverpool 1-0 so where was torres, ill admit the shocker was against wigan where they lost 3-2 but that was the entire defence their not just campbell, drew against Man city decent result with their talented forward line. There will always be examples of good and bad games but over the piece he has handled good strikers well and in the spl i believe he won't come up against that calibre untill the champs league and even then the likes of fenerbache or braga wont have that kind of calibre.

NEIL LENNON has told Dermot Desmond he wants to build Celtic's SPL title bid around Sol Campbell.

SunSport can reveal caretaker Lenny put the Arsenal ace at the top of his transfer wish-list three weeks ago.
He views Campbell, 35, as the ideal man to drive the Hoops towards the championship next term.
It's understood he could be lured to Parkhead on a two-year deal with the option of a third year.
Arsene Wenger has offered the former England stopper only a 12-month extension. Lennon could land the imposing defender on a £25,000-a-week deal as long as he has the security of a longer contract.
And former club captain Stephen McManus could be sacrificed to bankroll Campbell's capture.
He will jet out with Boro to their close-season training camp in La Manga this week with Gordon Strachan closing in on a £1.5million deal to keep him at the Riverside.
Hull City ace Jimmy Bullard was another prominent name on Lenny's list of targets.
But Sunderland and his old club Wigan want to keep him in the Premier League.
Celts are keen on a season-long loan which would see them split his £45,000 weekly wage with relegated Tigers.
But bosses at cash-strapped Hull would prefer to sell the 31-year-old now and get him off the wage bill.
