If the huns can have a 40 year old playing in defence then why can we not have a young vibrant 35 year old with more experience who is faster and stronger ?! :D

  1. 10 times the player the SPL Player Of The Year Weir ever has been. Remember we were all excited about Senderos? Well the Arsenal fans were happy for him to leave cos they had Sol and he is a genuinely top quality centre half. Even at 35.

He certainly is a quality player, think he will finish his career at arsenal !

  3. he would help rogne who i think is going to be a top class cb,big sol would be like another big balde get him in

  4. Get him signed up for 2 years, the experience he has you cant put a price on. Would be a real leader at the back which is what were lacking someone to organise our defence on the field and keep them in line.

  5. John Hartson on Sol Campbell "I wonder why Celtic are even thinking about signing a washed up centre half who cant make it down in england anymore"

"Washed up defender looking for another pay day"

Ramon Vega on Sol Campbell "I wouldn't say he is going there for money, his pride and his mentality won't allow that. "Sol will be going there to restore pride in Celtic, to help them win the title and do well in Europe. Hes the type of player they have been crying out for"

    Interesting views.

  6. Very intresting i would go with Vega i think sol would go to hoops if he did to win the title he could look at davie weir how much i dont want to talk him up but hes 40 just got player of year , Sol a very fit guy could last another few year might have lost his pace but still a great defender in the head can do a job but dont see it happing he will stay at arsenal .

  7. He's got tremendous intelligence on the football pitch, 35 or not he'd walk it in the SPL. This is exactly the type of signing the team needs. Mowbray's tactic of selling our experienced players and buying in youngsters and loanees is going to take it's toll otherwise.

  8. Even at 35 he would stroll through the spl, would love to see him flatten that * Mculloch:icon_mrgreen:

    Meister

  9. agree he reads the game well this really helps but wages surely would be mind blowing got to spread he cash

  10. hartson also said that bobo balde has everything celtic need right now and celtic ehouldnt have let him rot,and that balde even now is as good as campbell

  11. i'd have caldwell back before balde so i think hartson may be on the drink :56:

  12. think hes stayinin london

  13. :56::56::56:

lol i dont think he meant that anyway just that celtic shouldnt have let him go

  14. bobo's time to go was when everybody else like sutton etc left, but that was martin o'neill and the boards fault for giving him a mental contract in fairness.

I love big Hartson and Vega was a good player for us 10 years ago but both are prone to complete drivel talking. I wouldn't listen to either.

  16. Hartson's just another hired * talker to sell papers. Sick of it tbh.

  17. i actually enjoy his colums always fair and gives a view as a fan on whats happening with celtic at the point

  18. I bet all the people slagging John Hartson about his comments were the same people that a few months back were saying he was a legend when he was going through the worst of his cancer :31:

Complete hipocrites to be honest !!!

  19. Thats one of the worst posts ive read , they arnt slagging him , they are just having an opinion like the rest of us & why did you compare his cancer to this , he has cancer , hes getting through it , good luk to him , but he can still be wrong , just 'cos hes got an illness doesnt mean to say we have to agree with him:38:
