i want campbell and bullard, they will improve our team, FACT!!

But they cannot hold us to ransom,

if epl sides want to get theirselves in more debt, let them batter on, and if money is your motivation and you want to get pumped every week then, they will end up not enjoying their football, looking * as they wont see the ball and end up retiring after a year or 2 at the most.

I dont blame lennon for wanting them though, he just needs to draw the line somewhere, and i am sure he will.

Of course I pointed out the specific quote, when I argued against it haven't anything to do with age.

Dunno where you have got that idea from, that Boateng just * us. It sounds like pure bitterness from when he turned us down.

He was in fact willing to be at Celtic Park first day at the season to prove his worth.
And obvious, Neil Lennon wants players with the right attitude. He have spoked non-stop about lack of experience, hunger and character. If he gives George Boateng a one year deal - what I guess - it would be down to his personality. And I must admit I trust Lennon in this case. He should have a good eye of judgement, when it comes to the right characters on the holding midfielder spot.

To say Sol Campbell and Jimmy Bullard is * sounds like pure nonsense in my ears. Every Arsenal fan I have spoked to recently all wants Sol to stay, which says something. Bullard was player of the month in Premier League in november. Not maybe "*" players becomes that in the world stronges football league.

This could go on for ever, Jimmy Bullard can be a good player when he puts his mind to it - which is seldom.

Sol will do anything for money, just ask Arsenal fans about him playing for Spurs, going to Notts County & then back to Arsenal via Portsmouth. He's a * of the highest order.

Boateng, is another who is decent when trying a leg - which again he does all too seldom.

If this is the kind of mentality that Lenny is looking for then I'm really not optimistic of his judgement - Bullard has led him a merry dance & so has Campbell, they have totally made a fool of him. * is all this I'll take over a month to decide who to sign for & want to start the season late, missing a very important CL qualifier, after questioning our ambition to do well in Europe.

Again I stree, if this is the mentality/commitment we're looking for - then we're *.

Good players are driven by money. Players who come across as the dedicated type are the ones who know they're onto a good thing and wouldn't actually hack it at a top club in the epl.

I know folk will cite larsson as an example but he was in a great wage at Celtic and had his son settled at school. He also got a nice sweetner towardsvthe end of his career with a move to barca.

Bundesliga new boys St. Pauli are set to use their financial muscle to edge Celtic and Sunderland out of the race to sign Sol Campbell, according to the Daily Mail.

The Hamburg-based side have returned to the German top flight for the first time in eight years and have offered the veteran centre back £70,000-a-week to join them. This bid would blow the previous offers out of the water.

Campbell's contract at Arsenal ran out this summer after a successful five-month spell at the club. Sunderland manager Steve Bruce was confident of completing the move, but the 35-year-old could choose to test himself in a new league.

Bundesliga newcomers St. Pauli make £70,000-a-week offer to Sol Campbell - report - Goal.com

this doesnt look good we simply cant compete

to be fair to big Sol he was honest from the start. He said he would speak to Arsenal and other clubs that were interested. Its up to Lennon to wait as long as HE sees fit.

I think it is more of Sol telling everyone to wait on his decision.

Even though I want him to sign soon, I can understand the delay in his decision but I hope that the manager is moving on to other targets so we can sign them up if Campbell eventually rejects our offer.

Lenny is quoted in the news of the screws as saying he is still waiting on an answer from Sol. Said he doesn't expect to hear anything till after the 27th. It's all paper talk & Sol's not done anything he didn't say he wouldn't. He never promised to sign then * off to Newcastle. He spoke to us, then to other interested parties before speaking to Wenger & then getting married. We are all motivated by money.
