    Well said. He's class.

But I'm confident that he will sign a new contract with Arsenal within the next week. Sadly.

Dont believe it to be honest. Id take him, still strong and fit. Would do a job here for 2 season for sure.

Think he will be at arsenal next season though!

I dont believe the amount of people on here who would not take him really why , The guy has everything we have been missing and is a massive step up from every player we have on the books in our defence ,

He would be our Bobo replacement big strong defender who wont take any * and i feel he would stroll the spl up here ,Micheal Dubrey would be the perfect example he strolled the league with st Johnston. and then look at Davie Weir ffs and its better for kids like rogne and big josh to learn from a master than the likes of o'dea .

been ages since i've posted on here, sol campbell would be a class signing for us. An organiser in our defence, ok he maybe aint as pacey as he used to be, but one thing is certain he can defend, and he is a natural in the air. Look at the stability paw broon brought to the huns defence, and by the way lets be honest most of us on this side of the fence laughed when he signed for the huns, and also the scum fans hated him at first too. I wish some of our punters would stop pinning any hopes on Josh thompson, the guys only 18 or 19, and he has no pace at all, so how is he going to improve when he's older, this guy is a bigger calamity than the chuckle brothers put together. Give me big sol on a two year pay as you play deal, lets get back to wee o'neils tactics where our defence bullied opposing attackers.

Sol is a beast, he will be a brick wall at the back for us. Defence is our weakest area of the team IMO, what better than getting a commanding, strong, internationally experienced defender on a free?

Not for me, I dont think he has the right mentality to play for us. There's plenty of experienced centre backs out there who i'm sure we could snag for a couple of £M.

As much as i despise his traitorous behavior the more i think about this the one the more likely i am to accept him. He could do a good job at CB and he would be good for young Thompson. A free transfer aswell. But still i would target another player if at all possible but the idea is growing on me.

Kenny Miller would rip him a new *? Sol Campbell was playin against Rooney, Drogba, Torres etc and held his own, despite being 35. * forbid Kenny "the power" miller got ahold of him!

Get him in, this would be a worthwhile signing, hes proved hes still got the ability in the premiership, would find it easier here, and would be a great influence on the young defenders. End of.

The Celtic board are willing to sanction a bumper wage deal to land Campbell.
He has so far only been offered ONE-YEAR contract at Arsenal.
And Campbell stressed: "Celtic are a massive club, a great club, with massive support.
"I am in no rush, I would like to stay with Arsenal if I could.
"Although a one-year contract has been offered, these things can take some time to thrash out.
"I imagine Arsene has quite a lot to deal with at the moment, particularly with Cesc Fabregas."
Privately, Campbell is both flattered and intrigued by the Hoops' interest in him.
Now Celtic are ready to test his resolve by tabling that lucrative two-year contract.
