Lei Peifan skelping defending world champion Kyren Wilson here. 6-2 down to now 9-6 ahead and needing one frame for the win.

Wilson has crumbled but Peifan has also been superb. Crucible debut and is smashing it with zero * given, amazing.

Folk been saying for years the Chinese lads will eventually take over due to how massive the game is over there, part of the school curriculum etc. 10 of the boys at the Crucible this year, looking like that time is about to arrive. First Chinese world champion is not far off.

 

Fair play to Lei peifang there showed an incredible set of balls to win that last frame when Wilson must’ve been big favourite after pegging him back. He didn’t turn down a single shot and had 2 or 3 brilliant pots in the break.

 

Annoying wee *. Wilson I mean, no you.

 

This is an absolute clinic by Zhao Xintong, taking last years finalist to the cleaners here. Boy will take a bit of stopping I feel.

 

Was dipping in and out due to being at work but from what I did see higgins was rotten there. Winning a frame despite only potting 3 reds summed up that performance from him tbh. Needs to up it massively this evening otherwise he’s going home.

Interesting to see what happens with O’Sullivan today. Carter at 9/4 could be tempting I think

Higgins has been all over the shop here, looks like he’s given up. Very disappointing performance but maybe more on his mind, certainly playing like it.

This years tournament is Judd Trump's to loose and I think he will win it and in utter style.

 

I wouldn't write off this Chinese kid who's winning his quarter final comfortably at the moment and wouldn't write him off

 

In fairness he was awful at the start of the session this morning and in the end it cost him, but aye almost pulled off the best comeback I’d have seen.

Gutted for him, 9/10 when he misses that blue it goes safe but not this time. Was also a great shot from Williams under the circumstances.

 

Williams is ruthless, made a couple of shots that he could of just played safe. If he misses them it would probably of cost him the match.

Higgins deserved that comeback win. It was shaping up to be one of the great sporting stories but wasn’t to be.
