Anyone else think we may be seeing the last of Commons now? It's funny how he's fully recovered from injury one week, gets sent off at Tynecastle and now that he's eligible to play again with this being the League Cup, he's got a "strain".

I don't think he'll stay here past January. Some Championship or bottom end Premiership side will come in and take him.

Would really like to see a team like this tomorrow and think that it would be more than capable of giving us a win.

I know that there are a few injuries which will affect team selection but it does my head in to hear people saying things like play some of the young boys, give players a rest etc... Load of mince! MON consistently played the same team in all competitions and he did ok!:31:

Agree with what your saying Dopey, but Martin got caught out in a few cup games with "resting big players". Loved O'Neil but he made mistakes too mate :50:

One thing is for sure- we will need to score at least 2 goals as the Hibees fired up will get one by our keeper!!!!! Don't normally say this but we may get done over ra mora!!!!
Anyway I will be watching it on the telly-Channel 971 if I remember right!

Zaluska in the team AND on the bench? Seriously though, Zaluska should play and i would give Paddy a run instead of Ki.

You could be right. This season really hasn't gone well for him at all so far.

I'd expect Zaluska to be given a run-out tomorrow - we shall see though.

With our recent below par performances it is time to experiment. I would like to see at least half the team consist of youth players or fringe players. If we lose so be it. The huns will not win it anyway.

I know where you're probably coming from but I just think we need to win games, no matter how important the tournament. Probably the last thing we need is for Lennon to lose more support and get the boot.

Would love to see that lineup, give McCourt a run as a CM to show what he can do.

How do you work that one out? Our final three games in the group stages are Atletico at Celtic Park, Rennes at Celtic Park and Udinese away. If we play as well as we know we can and build up some momentum again, getting ourselves on a good run of form, I'd expect us to beat either Atletico or Rennes (or even both) at Celtic Park and maybe get another draw at Udinese.

I'm not saying that it will turn out like that, especially with more and more injuries hitting us every week, but it's wrong to just dismiss our chances in Europe , when there are still a potential nine points to be racked up.

I know there is a long way to go, well three games but in cup terms it's long. But the semi finalists are shocking this season, still no guarantee of course. But if we can get the first trophy of the season what a bOOst for the players and management that would be.
